Achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 will reshape the economic landscape of Taiwan. Bringing together our theme “Economy Next,” the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) hosts two exhibition zones: the “Energy Transition Zone” and the 'Industry Transition Zone.” These zones highlight the government's recent achievements in net-zero technology development and transformation.

The Intelligent Building Management System (iBMS) is a large-scale and flexible industrial control platform. By integrating Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Intelligent Video Surveillance (IVS), and Building Automation (BA) systems, iBMS enables Digital Twin technology to manage and operate building mechanical and electrical systems in a visualized manner. The five major systems it oversees include electrical systems, HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and low-voltage systems. This system meets the goals of ensuring health, comfort, and safety, while also achieving energy savings and intelligent automation. Far EasTone’s Traffic Signal UPS System ensures that intersections remain “lit and flowing” even during power outages. By integrating Far EasTone’s self-developed monitoring and management platform with smart batteries and signal controllers, the system can instantly track battery levels, utility power status, and device health. When an abnormality in the utility power occurs, the smart battery automatically takes over to keep the traffic lights operating normally. This enhances road and public safety while preventing sudden traffic disorder or additional carbon emissions caused by congestion. At the same time, battery and UPS data are sent back to the platform, allowing management units to detect abnormalities in real time and respond quickly—building truly stable and uninterrupted smart mobility for cities.

1. Directly driving fans with a motor increases transmission efficiency and highlights the superiority of direct drive systems over traditional transmission systems, especially when combined with a variable-speed control mechanism and at lower rotating speeds. 2. The absence of mechanical components in a direct drive system eliminates the need for regular maintenance of the reducer, gearbox, and transmission shaft, as well as reduces the risk of oil leaks. This results in lower maintenance costs, longer product life, and reduced operating costs for customers. 3. Installation of TECO's proprietary inverter for cooling tower can reduce operating noise, buffer activation, and lower mechanical impact. 4. A 30 kW motor in constant-frequency operation can reduce total operating costs by up to 18% over a five-year period.

In recent years, the number of motor vehicle noise cases has increased, and it has been a concern for people in Taiwan. In order to protect the living environment and eliminate improper vehicle modifications, the Ministry of Environment has used acoustic camera technology for law enforcement since 2021. The system contains several scientific instruments, including a license plate recognition function that helps authorities identify noisy vehicles. Technology also improves inspection efficiency and quality of noisy vehicles. Existing roadside inspections require onsite noise measurement. The stationary noise test takes at least 20 minutes for each vehicle. Law enforcement using acoustic camera technology can simultaneously record videos, take photos, identify vehicles and complete noise measurements, to increase efficiency by a factor of 200. It is no longer necessary to use a large amount of manpower to carry out checks and inspections, greatly reducing labor costs. The Acoustic Camera equipment equipment used in this exhibition is provided by OE Scientech Co., Ltd.
