The Central Weather Administration (CWA) is the government agency responsible for earthquake monitoring and reporting in Taiwan. In order to reduce fatalities and property losses caused by earthquakes, a high-density real-time seismic network and the advanced earthquake early warning (EEW) system have been implemented and in operation. Currently, the CWA EEW system can issue the warning message in about 10 seconds after a strong earthquake occurring in or very near Taiwan. Starting from 2021, in order to further enhance the benefit of EEW to the practical earthquake hazard mitigation, the CWA has begun to develop the customized urban EEW system. By means of introducing the on-site earthquake early warning methods, and developing the artificial intelligence models. The systems, particularly for the big urban shallow earthquake, aim to further shorten the time of EEW to 7 seconds. That means it can give warning to the areas about 25 km away from the epicenter, and more people could be alerted before the destructive shaking.

In recent years, the number of motor vehicle noise cases has increased, and it has been a concern for people in Taiwan. In order to protect the living environment and eliminate improper vehicle modifications, the Ministry of Environment has used acoustic camera technology for law enforcement since 2021. The system contains several scientific instruments, including a license plate recognition function that helps authorities identify noisy vehicles. Technology also improves inspection efficiency and quality of noisy vehicles. Existing roadside inspections require onsite noise measurement. The stationary noise test takes at least 20 minutes for each vehicle. Law enforcement using acoustic camera technology can simultaneously record videos, take photos, identify vehicles and complete noise measurements, to increase efficiency by a factor of 200. It is no longer necessary to use a large amount of manpower to carry out checks and inspections, greatly reducing labor costs. The Acoustic Camera equipment equipment used in this exhibition is provided by OE Scientech Co., Ltd. They not only supply fixed or mobile sound-based photography equipment to Taipei City, Taichung City, Chiayi City, and Changhua County but also have extensive experience in assisting with technology enforcement operations.

Carbon Star is a specialized greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory management platform developed by StarTrust Systems, offering enterprises extensive carbon management capabilities. The platform encompasses organizational greenhouse gas inventories (ISO 14064-1) and product carbon footprint inventories (ISO14067), featuring the most extensive functional modules to enable enterprises to effectively gather carbon emissions data throughout their operations. 1. The platform is equipped with calculation benchmarks for carbon emissions and the latest factor data, facilitating enterprises in promptly collecting and computing data. 2. It integrates comprehensive management functions, including approval workflows and reminders, to assist various departments within enterprises in effectively managing greenhouse gas emissions. 3. Agriculture is the main industry in Yunlin County. Nearly 1/3 of the population are workers in the primary industry. In addition, more than 60% of the population in the related industry chain is engaged in agriculture-related businesses. However, due to the outflow of young people from rural areas, an aging society, and global climate anomalies have made it difficult for agriculture to maintain stable yield and quality, and the international community has responded to the issue of carbon reduction. How to balance food security and environmental sustainability has become a major issue in the current agricultural transformation. Therefore, the Yunlin County Government promotes the agricultural creation service guidance team, discovers local DNA, combines traditional agriculture to carry out digital transformation of farms, effectively improves agricultural productivity, bridges the gap between labor shortage and unstable production, assists the agricultural industry in line with international carbon reduction trends and create low-carbon sustainable urban and rural happiness.The project won the 2023 Smart City Innovation Application Awards.

To embrace the technology era, the New Taipei City Government Information Center has launched various projects, comprehensively leveraging smart technologies to transform New Taipei into an energetic, vibrant city: 1. Smart Poles: Integrate AI analytics, environmental sensors, and AR applications on pole structures to enhance smart city infrastructure. 2. Cybersecurity Alliance: Pioneered cybersecurity alliance system and lab to strengthen cybersecurity defenses and establish unified management platform for cybersecurity capabilities. 3. NewTaiPAY: Promote digital economy and net-zero carbon through mobile payment platform that rewards citizens with NewTaiPAY for engaging in municipal interactivity. 4. Smart Community and Smart Neighborhood Representatives: Improve community management through technology tools in smart communities; provide real-time services to villagers via IM, such as LINE, official accounts for the Representatives. 5. Free Computer Courses: Offer information technology courses to shorten digital divide and achieve digital equality among citizens.

Facing issues such as urban-rural development imbalance and population outflow, E.SUN took the lead among financial institutions across Taiwan in formally launching the "Regional Revitalization Project" in 2018 in order to provide integrated services combining business counseling and funding support for local businesses. First of all, the image classification technique and retinal segmentation were put together to generate an automatic classification for CKD patient. It saves time on filtering unqualified image. Moreover, with Resnet50 image classification, it improves the efficiency of image processing. After preprocessing step, AI system is used analyzing retinal image and classifying CKD stage, which is aim to predict high risk group of DKD in patients with diabetes.
