Dr. Chin-Chung Wu currently serves as the Vice President of Taiwan Power Company (Taipower). He graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Technology at the National Taiwan Institute of Technology in 1990 and received the "Taipower Scholarship," which enabled him to join Taipower. Over the past 35 years, he has held various positions, including Dispatch Section Chief, Planning Section Chief, Central Dispatch Superintendent, Director of the Power Dispatching Department and concurrently Director of the Emergency Supply Center, Senior Professional Engineer, and Spokesperson of Taipower.
In 1991, Dr. Wu passed the National Civil Service Senior Examination, and in 1995, he obtained the Electrical Engineering Professional Engineer Certification. While working at Taipower, he pursued further studies at the Graduate Institute of Electrical Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), earning his master’s degree in 1993 and a Ph.D. in 2003. In 2015, Dr. Wu was selected for Taipower’s "Global Vision Program" and attended the Executive Management Program at the London Business School (LBS) in the UK. He has also been assigned multiple times to conduct overseas studies on power dispatching centers, electricity markets, and international conferences.
Dr. Wu possesses comprehensive academic and professional experience in power systems. He actively supports Taiwan's energy transition by spearheading the planning and establishment of Taiwan’s electricity trading platform, promoting greater private-sector participation, and fostering innovation in Taiwan’s energy technology and energy storage industry. Through innovative approaches, he integrates demand response and energy storage systems, leveraging a virtual power plant model to participate in the electricity trading platform, provide ancillary services, facilitate renewable energy integration, and ensure power supply stability.
In addition to his role at Taipower, Dr. Wu is an adjunct professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at NTUST. He also serves as a board member of the Taiwan Power Research and Testing Center, a director of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, and a director of the Taiwan Smart Grid Industry Association. Dr. Wu has received numerous accolades, including the 2021 Outstanding Electrical Engineer Award from the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, the 2023 Government Service Award (Digital Innovation Value-Added Award), and the 2024 Gartner Global Power and Utility Digital Innovation Award (Asia-Pacific First Prize).
He has also been invited multiple times as an APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) distinguished energy expert to participate in forums on power grids and energy transition, demonstrating exceptional contributions in the field.

Prof. Cheng-I Chen, Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Central University, has focused his recent research on power quality measurement and analysis, power electronics control and energy management, and nonlinear load modeling. His findings have been published in renowned international journals. In recent years, he has collaborated with industry partners to develop measurement analysis and power processing technologies that comply with Taipower’s system and international standards. In addition to applying for multiple invention patents, he has planned to integrate related technologies into products to enhance the global competitiveness of the enterprise’s instrumentation and power industries.
Currently, Prof. Chen serves as an expert in energy storage system verification for the Metal Industries Research and Development Centre, a distinguished research consultant for the Green Energy and Environment Research Laboratories at the Industrial Technology Research Institute, and the IEEE PES R10 North Zone 2 Activity Coordinator. He is committed to fostering international academic and industry collaboration and has organized at least 45 international conferences over the past five years.
