Since 2016, Taiwan has actively promoted energy transition policies, fully advancing the integration of renewable energy, energy saving, energy storage, and smart systems to create a safe, stable, efficient, and clean energy supply and demand system. In recent years, the focus has been on "diversify green energy" and "deep energy saving," with clear strategies and goals proposed. Efforts are being made to stabilize power supply through enhanced technological energy storage and resilient power grids, gradually moving towards the 2050 net-zero vision.
To assist Taiwan's industries in engaging with energy transition, energy saving, geothermal, and energy storage technologies, the "Energy Transition Forum," organized by the National Development Council and the Energy Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and executed by the Green Energy & Environment Research Laboratories of the Industrial Technology Research Institute and the Taipei Computer Association, will be held on the morning of March 19 at the 701F conference room of the Nangang Exhibition Center, during the third Net Zero City Expo.
The forum will invite industry and academic research experts from the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University(as well as Association of Energy Service Companies), the Graduate Institute of Applied Geology at National Central University, Taiwan Power Company to give keynote speeches on various topics, including the development and future trends of energy saving technology services, the role and prospects of geothermal energy in the energy transition, and the critical role of energy storage technology in renewable energy. Through expert discussions, the forum will explore the current applications and future business opportunities in promoting energy sustainability and achieving net-zero policy goals. Interested individuals are welcome to attend.
