Amid global efforts to advance net-zero transitions and digital governance policies, cities have become pivotal arenas for implementing transformative actions. Artificial intelligence (AI) is not only a core driver of digital innovation but is increasingly playing a critical role in enabling cities to reduce carbon emissions, enhance resilience, and improve governance effectiveness. Against this backdrop, the 2026 Net Zero City Leaders Summit centers on AI-Driven Twin Transformation, focusing on how AI technologies can integrate digital and green transitions to guide cities toward a smart and sustainable future.
The Summit will bring together government decision-makers, city leaders, representatives from international organizations, industry experts, and leaders from public associations, creating a diverse and policy-focused international platform for dialogue and exchange. The program features a main forum and three sub-forums, addressing key topics such as Sustainable Industrial Transformation for Cities, City Climate Resilience and Sustainability, and Local Revitalization in City Transformation, and fostering in-depth collaboration across cities, sectors, and industries.
The AI-Driven Twin Transformation main forum will examine the topic from three perspectives: policy planning, industrial application, and international cooperation. Discussions will explore how cities can leverage AI and digital technologies to connect energy, transportation, building, and governance systems, accelerate the dual green-and-digital transformation, achieve net-zero goals, and enhance the impact of smart cities on global climate action and sustainable development—providing a clear and actionable blueprint for future urban transformation.
