The extreme weather, infrastructure impacts, and environmental risks caused by climate change have become significant challenges for cities worldwide. As the global net-zero targets advance, how cities can reduce greenhouse gas emissions while strengthening their capacity to cope with climate change and minimizing its impact on urban areas, economies, and ecosystems is critical.

As dense population centers and hubs of economic activity, cities bear greater climate risks and challenges. Enhancing urban resilience and strengthening adaptive capacity has become a top priority for governments and businesses around the world.

This forum will invite city representatives to share successful experiences, explore how to address climate challenges through technology, policy, and social collaboration, and present concrete strategies to strengthen urban resilience. We will discuss how to simultaneously push for carbon reduction while enhancing adaptation capacity, showcasing how cities globally are using smart infrastructure, disaster warning systems, and green construction to strengthen their ability to cope with extreme weather events. Participants will collaborate on how to achieve sustainable development against the backdrop of global climate change and work with the international community to create a safer, more sustainable future.technology in practice, seeking strategies to ensure its alignment with sustainable development goals.
