As sustainability becomes a global consensus, governments at all levels, from central to local, are prioritizing net-zero transformation as a core objective and actively promoting climate action. Industries also play a crucial role, accelerating the green transformation of cities through smart technologies and low-carbon innovative solutions.
The circular economy has become a prominent trend in the industry, with global companies shifting from "waste reduction" to "resource regeneration." By leveraging innovative technologies to enhance resource value, they are driving a low-carbon transition. From plastics recycling into new packaging and developing renewable fuels to achieving net-zero buildings and zero-waste electronics, various industries are actively exploring new business models that transform waste into sustainable opportunities.
The Taiwan Climate Partnership is hosting the "From Waste to Regeneration: Charting a Circular Path to a Green Future" international forum in the conference room of the 2025 Net-Zero City Exhibition. The event will feature two Japanese climate advocacy organizations, the Japan Climate Leaders' Partnership (JCLP) and the Japan Climate Initiative (JCI). Joining forces with leading Taiwanese companies such as Acer and AUO, the forum will delve into topics ranging from circular economy policy visions and zero-energy buildings to zero-waste electronics and new circular economy business models. The discussions will provide an in-depth analysis of how the circular economy can serve as a driving force for low-carbon transformation, enhance the value of resource reuse, and build sustainable cities. Through cross-border experience sharing and industry case studies, the event aims to collaborate with international partners, deepen climate cooperation, and jointly create a green future, embracing the net-zero era!
