Karen was a legislator at large representing the Democratic Progressive Party in the Parliament from 2016 to 2020. Her main focus areas included digital transformation, Fintech, woman empowerment, startup, social innovation, and regional revitalization.
Before becoming a congresswoman, Karen was an influential social entrepreneur who founded the first fair trade company "Okogreen" in Taiwan in 2008. She has an M.A. from University of London in Anthropology of Food, and had been invited as the visiting scholar by U.S. Department of State and Stanford University.

He has specializations in advanced composite materials, vehicle design and low- and high-volume manufacturing techniques. He has engineered and developed low-volume racing and specialty vehicles, autonomous vehicles and supercars, as well as high-volume automotive components.
At Gaius Mr. Jansen is leading the company’s technical development and engineering teams in Taiwan and Canada to develop electric urban mobility solutions for last mile logistics and personal transport. Nearing market launch is Gaius’ Rapide3 three-wheel tilting cargo scooter, with two and four-wheel models in development.
