We would like to invite you to join the annual ASEAN- Taiwan Cooperation Forum (ATCF): “Net Zero drives the ASEAN's Green Economy and Business Opportunities of Smart City” a hybrid event on March 31, 2023. The event will be held physically at Room 701 E, 7F, TaiNEX Hall 2 or online via Cisco Webex Meeting.

Due to the climate change, energy conservation, carbon reduction, and zero emissions have become global issues of concern. Cities and manufacturing industries are the largest carbon emitting sectors and the main priority areas for implementing zero carbon emissions. Governments and private sectors of various countries are promoting response plans, including energy transformation and consumption management, electric transportation, smart communities and buildings, and intelligent industrial environments. The green transformation brings new business opportunities to industry and economic development.

As ASEAN countries declared their commitment to the carbon neutral revolution, it is expected to achieve net zero emissions by 2065. In 2021, the EU also announced the "Smart Green ASEAN Cities" initiative, providing 5.1 million euros to assist ASEAN cities in utilizing various green digital technologies and smart solutions to achieve carbon reduction goals.
