Mark Chandler is the Director of the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Global Engagement (Intl.Trade/Commerce). Mark has been part of the City and County government for over thirty-three years and has served eight mayors. Mark is responsible for managing the international programs of the City of San Francisco including innovation and technology exchange, international aviation development, Smart City dialogue, trade missions, investment and trade promotion, sister city partnerships, diplomatic relations for trade and investment and global trade/investment policy formation. Mark has assisted with and been part of over thirty overseas missions to locations diverse as Mexico, China, India, France, Israel, Vietnam, Ireland, Australia, The Philippines, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Canada and Japan. He has a BA in Economics from U.C. Davis and an MBA in International Marketing from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and studied at the Tokyo Academy of Japanese.

Over two decades, Rob has held C-level roles in the technology, government, and utilities sectors in California, Arizona, Oregon, and Colorado. He and his teams have earned over 30 national honors for customer engagement, attaining operational excellence through technology, and for innovative programs.

Has occupied other senior positions in the State Government of Minas Gerais/ Brazil and in the Federal Data Processing Service (Federal Government IT company). Professor of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Experience in Public Management and Project Management, mainly in the following subjects: government procurement, public planning and budgeting, logistics, reducing bureaucracy, digital transformation, technology policies and information systems for government.

Mr. Christian Parks

Business Improvement Coordinator

Christian has worked as a town planner in multiple jurisdictions. After 20 years working in development assessment, he took up a business improvement role with Logan City Council that allows him to combine his town planning experience with his passion for customer service. Christian understands that land use planning policy and rules are complicated and their language often intimidating. He is part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on finding ways to unpack this complexity and help people understand what the rules mean for them and their property. In 2018, this team launched the Logan PD Hub, an online planning and development platform that has won multiple awards.

Ms. Juanita Rodriguez Kattah

With more than 18 years of experience, Juanita Rodríguez Kattah has worked mainly in projects and initiatives related to technological innovation, digital entrepreneurship, digital transformation and cybersecurity.

She is the Director of Smart Cities at Probogota, a non-profit organization that contributes to making Bogotá and the region a better place to live, work and invest.

She is also the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Bictia, a non-profit entity funded by NORAD that suports and invests in technological based startups.
