Dr. Non Arkara, a senior expert in smart city promotion from Thailand's Digital Economy Promotion Authority (depa), has shared his insights into planning and building smart and livable cities in Thailand. Non holds a firm belief that the cornerstone of city development is a “citizen-centric” approach. In Thailand's initiatives, depa places a high emphasis on citizen participation. The goal is to enhance technological and data literacy among citizens by empowering them with the right tools. By putting people first, collaboration and innovation among citizens can lead to sustainable growth by implementing purposeful technology solutions. Through extensive collaboration, all involved parties can achieve more efficiently, attain better outcomes, and foster innovation. Dr. Non's work includes shaping smart city policies, educating smart city officers across Thailand’s 77 provinces, and leading numerous smart city projects. His approach ensures that progress is not only efficient and effective but also inclusive, leading to a better, more innovative future for Thailand's urban environments.

Dr. Sorawit Narupiti

Dr. Sorawit Narupiti is an Associate Professor at Department of Civil Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, where he served as Head of Department from 2012 to 2015. He specializes in transportation and traffic engineering especially Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), smart and sustainable mobility, and transport policy. He has been conducting research and development on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for more than 20 years.
He has numerous academic papers and made presentations on topics at regional conference levels. He is currently an editor/reviewer in some ITS-related journals/conferences and a coordinator of the ITS group at Chulalongkorn University.
He has taught classes on Highway Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transport Policy and Planning, Intelligent Transport System, Simulation and Modeling and more. Professionally, he served as the President of Thai ITS Association from 2008-2012, the secretary of Intelligent traffic information center (iTIC) foundation which promotes better transport through the use of intelligent transport system data in Thailand. Moreover, he joins many transportation engineering professional associations.

He has involved in ITS activities in Thailand. He served as President of Thai ITS Association (ITS Thailand) from 2008-2012 and 2017-Early 2024. He is also active in ITS activities in Asia-Pacific region.

John Wang is the founder of Noodoe and the former Chief Marketing Officer of HTC. During his tenure at HTC, he played a crucial role in the collaboration with Google that

Wang joined HTC in its early days and, in 2005, established HTC's MAGIC Labs, the company's innovation center. The center was responsible for creating breakthrough products ready for the market His innovative approach to brand-building and focus on end-users was instrumental in transforming HTC into a top 100 global brand per
Interbrand's list for 2011.

In 2013, Wang established Noodoe with a mission to accelerate the world's transition to zero-emission transportation by enabling the establishment and expansion of EV charging infrastructure worldwide. Wang has a history of executing breakthrough business ideas.

Wang holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from MIT.
