Carbonclean Energy

Carbonclean Energy

Carbonclean Energy is a company specializing in carbon dioxide utilization
technologies. To address the lack of carbon reuse solutions in Taiwan, the company has
developed a proprietary catalyst that converts CO₂ into high-value chemicals under
ambient conditions, enabling enterprises to transform waste gas into valuable resources.
The R&D team consists entirely of master’s and Ph.D. holders and collaborates closely
with leading universities in Taiwan and professors from UC Berkeley. Following the
development of its first pilot system, E-oak, Carbonclean Energy conducted on-site
validation at a local factory in Kaohsiung, aiming to support industrial decarbonization
and drive the transition toward a low-carbon economy.

Carbon Dioxide Electrolyzer. Transfer CO2 to high value chemicals.

Solution Description

Carbon Neutrality

CarbonClean Energy’s CO₂ electrolysis equipment E-Oak utilizes proprietary electrochemical conversion technology to directly transform carbon dioxide into high-value chemicals such as carbon monoxide, ethanol, and ethylene. This enables waste-gas reutilization while creating additional economic value.
Unlike thermochemical carbon utilization processes that require high temperature, high pressure, and hydrogen input, E-Oak operates under ambient temperature and pressure. It only requires carbon dioxide and water to drive the conversion reaction, providing enhanced operational safety.
In addition, E-Oak synchronizes operational data with the cloud, allowing users to remotely monitor equipment performance. Its automatic equipment diagnostic reporting function further facilitates smarter carbon management.
