Creating six-tier industrial AI technology demonstration field in the central and southern regions-Yunlin Digital Transformation and Creation Service
Nearly one-third of the population in Yunlin County are first-tier industrial workers, mainly agricultural planting and fishery breeding. Through the inventory of various key program modules of scientific and technological agriculture and through service and product design, the six-tier digital system has been completed. It has been effectively improving the first-tier Industrial productivity and filling the gap in production instability, and receiving a solution for the lack of labor and the approval of the National Development Council Plan. This will also make Yunlin a place where cases of digital transformation and creation blooming. This service is introduced into multiple towns and villages in Yunlin County and 350 jobs have been created and about 320 million production value have been increased.The project won the 2022 “Smart City Innovation Application Awards".

In 2020, commercial 5G network has come into our lives. Taiwan’s fixed network, Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd and Taiwan Win TV Media CO., Ltd. launched a 5G smart sports application at the Xinzhuang Baseball Stadium. We use the 5G network to provide the characteristics of Enhanced Mobile Broadband, Massive Machine Type Communications, and Ultra-reliable and Low Latency Communications, and together with local partners in Taiwan to generate a 5G smart application solution ecosystem. This project focuses on the interactive management of fans, and uses many innovative technologies for demonstration, including the key video uses MEC and 5G, integrates 3D modeling animation and collects live light and shadow, provides dynamic and static image playback, high-quality real-time 4K panoramic photography, providing live stream of sports events, AR virtual opening display, giving fans a different visual experience, highly immersive virtual baseball games bring real-life experience, 3D Holographic projection technology is used to interact with virtual player images for pitching and playing games. Finally, it is also matched with the stadium's 3D depth technology and dynamic people counting analytics technology to provide security control requirements for the stadium. The player’s training platform uses sports technology to detect player swing speed, elevation angle, or distance is provided to the coach for immediate adjustment and improvement.

Most cold chain logistics vehicles currently use engine-driven compressors to power refrigeration units. This increases engine wear and fuel consumption, especially during idling when unloading. With global warming and stricter carbon reduction policies, retrofitting fuel-based cold chain vehicles has become urgent to reduce emissions and fuel costs. Our solution provides an independent power system that allows refrigeration/freezing units to operate without engine idling. It uses solar panels for supplemental energy and high-performance, safe LiFePO₄ batteries to ensure stable power. This setup reduces fuel use and lowers carbon emissions during stops. The system also offers emergency power support and features remote monitoring for real-time management and quick troubleshooting. Additionally, it is fully compatible with electric logistics vehicles, requiring no redesign. This makes it a sustainable, green solution that meets future low-carbon logistics needs.

With the rapid growth of electric vehicles (EVs) in Taiwan, the demand for charging infrastructure is increasing. However, most developments focus on high-power DC fast charging systems, which face significant challenges. Complicated feeder application procedures and imbalances in urban power grids make it difficult to deploy medium and large-scale charging stations. While AC chargers (up to 22kW) are easier to install, they fail to meet the need for fast and efficient charging. To address these challenges, GREAT introduces the "Charging Silk Road" solution. This innovative system combines advanced energy storage systems (ESS) with fast charging equipment to enable independent power supply and reduce reliance on the public grid. By integrating renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power, the system maximizes energy efficiency and sustainability. Additionally, the solution features Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) capability, allowing stored energy to be fed back to the grid during peak demand or emergencies, supporting grid stability. Through a distributed, multi-site deployment model based on independent microgrids, GREAT’s Charging Silk Road creates a flexible, resilient, and efficient green charging network, accelerating the transition to net-zero carbon emissions.
