In response to the rapid transition into a super-aged society, Nantou County faces significant challenges due to its vast geographic area and the uneven and insufficient distribution of medical resources. Many elderly residents and persons with disabilities experience difficulties in accessing prescription medications. In 2025, Nantou County launched the nation’s first “Home Medication Delivery Service System.” This innovative service allows elderly residents or their family members to apply and make appointments online. Licensed pharmacists then deliver medications directly to the patient’s home free of charge. By integrating technology with compassionate care, the program promotes medication equity and enhances medication safety for vulnerable populations. It also reduces the caregiving burden caused by long travel distances and limited transportation options. Through this initiative, Nantou County is committed to building an age-friendly city that ensures accessible, safe, and dignified healthcare services for all residents.

The system developed by this project provides a smart solution for station including digital fence system, platform pedestrian flow analysis, animal tracking expelled system, track water situation analysis system and platform digital information signage. The platform comprehensively analyses the image of around the station, train coordinates, passenger entry and exit, and water depth etc. Which can be used for follow up review and improvement of abnormal events such as track intrusion, crowd congestion and road flooding to achieve optimal train operation configuration and class spacing control. And provide abnormal event warning and troubleshooting and passenger intelligence information services. After the integration of multiple subsystem through the IOC platform, the system will automatically alert an alarm to the traffic control center and announce the train near the area to remind the driver to pay attention to the situation and enhance the safety of the train and the people or cars in the area when the detection system alarms.

We provide e-Form with big data 、AI and cloud technology, it's an energy dashboard for the client demonstrating current status of equipment and service, and a global energy consumption, improving power management equipment longevity and risk management for the managers. It safes energy from both directions by decreasing consumption and increasing efficiency.

This project is deployed in a large-scale fish farming area in southern Taiwan, where ponds are widely distributed and geographically fragmented, creating challenges for long-distance network connectivity and real-time surveillance. The solution utilizes fiber optic links as the backbone to ensure stable long-range transmission across the site. EAP610-Outdoor wireless access points are deployed to extend network coverage through a mesh architecture, effectively reducing the need for repetitive cabling. For surveillance, the system integrates an NVR4032H with InSight S345 and InSight S345ZI bullet cameras, delivering stable and reliable video transmission. Combined with PoE switches, this solution establishes a flexible, efficient, and reliable network and intelligent surveillance infrastructure tailored for aquaculture management.

Likewise, peak shaving and valley filling can reduce the maximum load demand and reduce the contract capacity with saving electricity bills. In emergency micro-grid could supply certain amount of electricity through energy storage system as well.

Dr. Hung-Lung Lin’s Team – An Auxiliary Assessment System for Coronary Heart Disease Identification In response to population aging and the younger onset of coronary heart disease (CHD), this study develops an AI-based auxiliary CHD screening system integrated into a mobile app. Grounded in traditional Chinese medicine tongue–heart theory, the system analyzes sublingual vascular images using reflection removal, image segmentation, and a multi-head attention deep learning model. Users can obtain accurate, reproducible screening results and health recommendations within 7–20 seconds using only a smartphone, enabling convenient and cost-effective preliminary CHD assessment.

With our fiber sDAS, Wave-In effectively reduce mobile signal dead spots caused by insufficient base station coverage, buildings or electromagnetic signal interference. Due to the pandemic, Taiwanese Engineers weren’t able to assist with on-site installation and coverage testing, to solve this problem and improve efficiency, Wave-In utilized Mixed Reality for collaboration and remote assistance.

Extreme rainfall events have increased the frequency of flooding, creating an urgent need for timely and reliable monitoring of urban drainage systems. The Smart Water Monitoring solution deploys water-level sensors and communication devices within stormwater drainage networks to ensure continuous data transmission. Through a centralized platform with real-time visual indicators, authorities can quickly identify abnormal conditions. This solution strengthens urban disaster resilience, reduces manual inspections, and improves overall operational efficiency.

With the rise of smart cities and cloud technology, building security has evolved from traditional surveillance to AI‑driven proactive protection. Our electronic perimeter security solution establishes an invisible defense through five layers. First, AI visual recognition performs human detection and skeleton tracking, filtering out non‑human interference. When individuals linger in sensitive zones beyond a set threshold, the system triggers initial warnings via speakers and lighting. Second, if a target crosses the virtual perimeter or enters restricted areas, the system instantly identifies illegal intrusion and pushes alerts and live footage to the control center or homeowner. Entering the active countermeasure stage, the system can lock access doors, activate outdoor lighting, and enforce tracking to isolate intruders. If threats persist, the highest‑level electronic deterrence is deployed: high‑decibel alarms to draw attention, intense strobe lighting to disorient intruders, and automatic connection to police or security services to secure external support within the critical response window. This integrated solution combines AI, cloud, and building facilities to deliver early warning, confirmation, and counteraction—greatly enhancing the safety resilience of smart buildings.

MiTAC has leverage the RFID technology and integrated with related solutionsto modify the warehousing and production management system. MiTAC's RFID Smart Manufacturing Solution has been applied in various industry, such as IPC, LED, Semiconductor, and textile industry. MiTAC has provided complete RFID application solutions these years from the inventory to production management system. We sees RFID as a game changer. Besides the RFID technology, the integrated application system is also important. MiTAC also develope the application systems. For each different scenario. We’ve developed a different system to work out a more complete RFID solution. We've also used supervised learning AI modules to develop MiTAC’s MiAION SeeR, a failure detection solution. This project integrates cable TV systems, Civil IoT, and AI video recognition technology to build smart disaster prevention and site safety services. Centered on set-top boxes (STB) and intelligent sensing, the solution focuses on bridging the gap in real-time information and safety protection for elderly and rural populations. Through its wired network infrastructure, the system developed under this project is capable of delivering real-time disaster prevention information, including earthquakes, typhoons, and heavy rainfall alerts. In addition, AI-based recognition capabilities have been integrated into the system. Currently, the system has completed event recognition functions such as parcel placement and retrieval detection. It also performs analysis of human movement trajectories and abnormal group behavior detection. In the future, the system will be further expanded to identify dangerous situations such as violent behavior. Through this project, Taiwan Optical Platform (TOP) demonstrates the potential of integrating cable television networks with AI and IoT technologies to develop a platform for smart disaster prevention and public safety applications.
