The Ministry of Digital Affairs was established at the end of August 2022, positioned as a role driving Taiwan's digital development. The core idea is to build the digital resilience of the citizens, promote the innovation and reform of digital policies, assist the government and industries to utilize digital tools, improve service quality and efficiency, and as well as accelerate digital transformation.
The Administration for Digital Industries leads the mission to accelerate the digital economy-related innovation and transformation of industries. Taking "R, I, S, E" (Resilience, Integration, Security, and Empowerment) as the core spirit, the Administration assists Taiwan’s industrial cross-field cooperation, and coordinate cross-departmental committees when encountering difficulties in digital transformation. On top of that, working with different governmental committees, the Administration jointly develops innovative digital services for circular economy, so that all walks of life can improve management efficiency through different technologies, and finally achieve digital empowerment.
