Our electronic perimeter security solution establishes an invisible defense through five layers. First, AI visual recognition performs human detection and skeleton tracking, filtering out non‑human interference. When individuals linger in sensitive zones beyond a set threshold, the system triggers initial warnings via speakers and lighting. Second, if a target crosses the virtual perimeter or enters restricted areas, the system instantly identifies illegal intrusion and pushes alerts and live footage to the control center or homeowner. Entering the active countermeasure stage, the system can lock access doors, activate outdoor lighting, and enforce tracking to isolate intruders. If threats persist, the highest‑level electronic deterrence is deployed: high‑decibel alarms to draw attention, intense strobe lighting to disorient intruders, and automatic connection to police or security services to secure external support within the critical response window. In alignment with global sustainable tourism trends and Taiwan’s “2050 Net-Zero Emissions Pathway,” Nantou County launched the Nantou Sustainable Tourism Campaign (NSTC) in 2024 in partnership with National Chi Nan University. As the first local government in Taiwan to establish a comprehensive sustainable tourism framework, Nantou created NSTC as a platform for training, talent development, knowledge exchange, and strategic marketing to accelerate tourism transformation. NSTC is built on three core pillars. NSTC Talk enhances industry capacity through workshops, training programs, and forums. NSTC Criteria incorporates international sustainable tourism standards to develop localized evaluation guidelines and assess business sustainability maturity. NSTC Travel Guide promotes certified businesses and sustainable itineraries, encouraging responsible travel and green consumption. Through systematic carbon footprint assessments, Nantou has developed nine net-zero itineraries and twenty-three low-carbon routes, covering one- to three-day immersive experiences. These itineraries adopt the internationally recognized Gold Standard carbon offset mechanism to ensure measurable emission reduction. By integrating data-driven governance with green practices, NSTC positions Nantou as a leading model for sustainable tourism transformation and low-carbon regional development.

It offers flexible integration options through software packages and APIs that can be easily incorporated across diverse hardware and platforms. Designed with battery efficiency in mind, intelligent algorithms support always-on or periodic cloud-based location updates, optimizing power consumption for different usage scenarios. Prof. Chia-Hsin Chen’s Team – An Innovative AI-Powered Tongue Vibration Training System This project develops an AI-driven tongue vibration training system for dysphagia and obstructive sleep apnea. It combines a safe, adjustable tongue device, AI motion tracking with real-time biofeedback, EEG-based cognitive monitoring, and AR-based gamified training to deliver personalized, engaging, and data-driven rehabilitation.

1.Special design of water metering structure for users of high-rise building and smart houses. 2.Multiple water meters are connected in series to share the construction cost, which is most in line with economic benefits. 3.Graphical presentation of water usage data helps users manage water consumption. 4.Combined with the alarms of abnormal conditions, if there is suspected water leakage or suspected reverse flow, the system will take the initiative to inform. 5.Assist in water and water conservation management, and help users formulate exclusive usage warning ranges.

This project integrates cable TV systems, Civil IoT, and AI video recognition technology to build smart disaster prevention and site safety services. Centered on set-top boxes (STB) and intelligent sensing, the solution focuses on bridging the gap in real-time information and safety protection for elderly and rural populations. Through its wired network infrastructure, the system developed under this project is capable of delivering real-time disaster prevention information, including earthquakes, typhoons, and heavy rainfall alerts. In addition, AI-based recognition capabilities have been integrated into the system. Currently, the system has completed event recognition functions such as parcel placement and retrieval detection. It also performs analysis of human movement trajectories and abnormal group behavior detection. In the future, the system will be further expanded to identify dangerous situations such as violent behavior. Through this project, Taiwan Optical Platform (TOP) demonstrates the potential of integrating cable television networks with AI and IoT technologies to develop a platform for smart disaster prevention and public safety applications.
