Prof. Ming-Chung Chou’s Team – Intelligent X-ray Imaging System Traditional X-ray imaging depends on experienced radiographers to balance image quality and radiation dose. Automatic exposure control may misjudge patients with poor positioning or metallic implants, increasing radiation by about 20%. This study develops an AI-based X-ray imaging system with non-contact body thickness measurement. By integrating patient height and weight, the system automatically determines optimal exposure parameters, ensuring stable image quality while reducing unnecessary radiation and cancer risk.

EdgeLink-X is an AI-driven heterogeneous edge-network platform built to provide resilient, low-latency connectivity for intelligent transportation and railway environments. The system forms a multi-layer architecture that unifies field communications, sensing, video capture, and edge analytics into a reliable and adaptive communication framework. At the field level, IP110H and IP503H Lite IP radios deliver instant voice communication and group coordination for frontline personnel. Sensors and cameras are connected through the AG260 AIoT Gateway, while the AS710 Wi-Fi 7 indoor access point provides high-quality Wi-Fi coverage in stations, platforms, and passenger areas to enhance traveler connectivity. Long-range, time-synchronized backhaul is supported by the SP250 Series, ensuring stable, high-throughput wireless links across trackside and outdoor environments. By integrating Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, PTP wireless backhaul, and AIoT devices into a single cohesive system, EdgeLink-X enables applications such as slope monitoring, intersection intrusion detection, pantograph spark/wear monitoring, and onboard operational visibility—forming a robust foundation for next-generation safe and intelligent mobility.

Through sharing successful case studies, the aim is to guide industry stakeholders to embrace new knowledge and technologies. Additionally, counseling teams assist farmer groups in transitioning towards a smart agriculture concept that combines 'smart technology' and the 'net-zero emission' approach. The development focuses on creating a future agriculture model primarily based on automation and AI, striving for efficiency, quality, and Intelligent Automation (IA).The project won the 2024 Smart City Innovation Application Awards.

A-MTK is IP cams manufacturer in Taiwan, and complete virtual fence solution with IP cams equipped with edge AI computing, edge alarm notification, and back-end NVR pop-up notify. A-MTK virtual fence solution is simple to set up, cost-effective, and can be applied to factory perimeter, campus perimeter, hazardous area protection.... etc. A-MTK virtual fence allows users to set up "Hand-drawn Shape Warning Zone", "Cross-line Detection", and "Personnel Loitering Detection" for different scenarios. No matter day or night, color or black and white, it can have the best personnel detection effect. After detecting the personnel, it can provide sound and light alarms at the IP cam edge-end. In the same time, the solution cooperates with the administrator's office to make remote alarms with A-MTK NVR software.

Nearly one-third of the population in Yunlin County are first-tier industrial workers, mainly agricultural planting and fishery breeding. Through the inventory of various key program modules of scientific and technological agriculture and through service and product design, the six-tier digital system has been completed. The Track Safety Management System is primarily aimed at addressing safety concerns along the track. It provides real-time monitoring, statistics, and detection-triggered alerts for trackside environments including stations, level crossings, along the track, and slope areas. The goal of this management system is to establish early warning alerts and prevent accidents from causing damage. Through the intelligent AIOT recognition monitoring system, it detects and analyzes station pedestrian traffic, tracks pedestrians at level crossings, identifies passing vehicles and traffic flow, detects foreign objects at level crossings and activates alarms, monitors personnel lingering and debris along the track, conducts rockfall monitoring on slopes with a rain gauge, monitors the environmental conditions in equipment boxes, and oversees the operation status of level crossing equipment. The monitoring data and image information are transmitted to the management system platform for integrated management via fiber-optic networks, NBIOT, or mobile communication. Additionally, it provides central management personnel with real-time interpretation and remote control in case of anomalies.

Delta’s EV charging solution utilizes the self-developed DeltaGrid® EVM, an electric vehicle charging management system for smart charging, power allocation, and charging equipment management. To avoid exceeding the site’s power limit during simultaneous charging, which could result in fines or power outages, the depot adopted a smart charging management system to effectively address power overuse and charging allocation issues. Under limited power conditions, the system efficiently allocates charging power for the electric buses and provides flexibility for future fleet expansion. To address the challenges of charging commercial fleets, the system has dedicated features that were developed for electric buses and commercial fleet charging needs, including Vehicle Identification, Site Current Limitation, Real-Time Alerts, etc, effectively enhances charging efficiency, optimizes operational benefits for electric fleets, and successfully demonstrates the transformation to the electrification of transportation.

Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) is committed to corporate sustainability and net-zero transformation.
