The Taichung Local Tax Bureau has launched the "Local Tax AI Anywhere Door," a 24/7 intelligent service platform powered by AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP). By integrating local, national, and cross-agency data, the system utilizes Deep Learning (BERT) and a specialized tax knowledge base to provide precise, multi-turn conversational consultations. The platform also features online applications, tax simulations, e-payments, and live text/video support, drastically reducing processing time and costs for citizens. To date, it has served over 440,000 cases with 99% accuracy and over 90% satisfaction, effectively lowering transportation-related carbon emissions and demonstrating the power of human-centric digital governance.

There are increasing demand for self-service and remote-control devices.Besides safety reason, it is also easier for customers to purchase tickets and obtain travel information, plus the added benefits of time saving and convenience. MiTAC’s Smart ticketing solution for tourism was implemented at “Hạ Long Bay” in Vietnam. Passengers can use self-service devices, such as the Ticket Vending Machines, kiosks and POS to purchase tickets, place orders, arrange trips and inquire for additional information. The operators can also utilize automated devices and information system to reduce human resources investment, strengthen operational efficiency, and improve service quality. In addition, the operators can utilize the data collected for big data analysis for precision marketing in the future.

This solution, named "Mission Critical Network," is designed to provide enterprises, rescue teams, defense and security organizations, and more with intelligent applications utilizing 5G private networks, mobile satellite communication, drones, and other technologies. It addresses challenges such as remote inspections, equipment patrols, major disaster relief, and national security needs. With its rapid and efficient deployment capabilities and high mobility, the solution is capable of offering a stable, high-speed, and secure private network in situations where communication stability is severely compromised due to difficulties in reaching locations, numerous devices, extreme disasters, or tense regional conditions. In recent years, the number of motor vehicle noise cases has increased, and it has been a concern for people in Taiwan. In order to protect the living environment and eliminate improper vehicle modifications, the Ministry of Environment has used acoustic camera technology for law enforcement since 2021. The system contains several scientific instruments, including a license plate recognition function that helps authorities identify noisy vehicles. Technology also improves inspection efficiency and quality of noisy vehicles. Existing roadside inspections require onsite noise measurement. The stationary noise test takes at least 20 minutes for each vehicle. Law enforcement using acoustic camera technology can simultaneously record videos, take photos, identify vehicles and complete noise measurements, to increase efficiency by a factor of 200. It is no longer necessary to use a large amount of manpower to carry out checks and inspections, greatly reducing labor costs. The Acoustic Camera equipment equipment used in this exhibition is provided by OE Scientech Co., Ltd. They not only supply fixed or mobile sound-based photography equipment to Taipei City, Taichung City, Chiayi City, and Changhua County but also have extensive experience in assisting with technology enforcement operations.

This project integrates cable TV systems, Civil IoT, and AI video recognition technology to build smart disaster prevention and site safety services. Centered on set-top boxes (STB) and intelligent sensing, the solution focuses on bridging the gap in real-time information and safety protection for elderly and rural populations. Through its wired network infrastructure, the system developed under this project is capable of delivering real-time disaster prevention information, including earthquakes, typhoons, and heavy rainfall alerts. In addition, AI-based recognition capabilities have been integrated into the system. Currently, the system has completed event recognition functions such as parcel placement and retrieval detection. It also performs analysis of human movement trajectories and abnormal group behavior detection. In the future, the system will be further expanded to identify dangerous situations such as violent behavior. Through this project, Taiwan Optical Platform (TOP) demonstrates the potential of integrating cable television networks with AI and IoT technologies to develop a platform for smart disaster prevention and public safety applications.
