To establish a civil participation mechanism to widely gather opinions from all sectors, the National Development Council has established the "Just Transition Commission." The committee follows a principle of equal representation between governmental agencies and civil society. Members serve a term of two years. The government agency representatives on the committee are deputy ministers from ministries responsible for the 12 key strategies of the 2050 net-zero transition and related issues of just transition. In addition, the members of the civil society include citizen groups focused on environmental, labor, and indigenous issues, as well as representatives from social enterprises and experts/scholars in the field of economic industries. The committee has four working groups: an academic group, a strategic review group, an issue identification group and an influence group. The public-private partnership will work together to promote a net-zero fair transition. Additionally, this year, multiple public consultation sessions are planned to gather current visions and expectations for a net-zero fair transition from all sectors, aiming to enhance public awareness of net-zero carbon emissions and fair transition.

airaTrack is a comprehensive personnel tracking system that utilizes AI algorithms developed by our team to extract features from both the "face and figure." It generates unique biometric IDs with a recognition accuracy of up to 99%, all without the need for registering facial data, addressing privacy concerns. Capable of cross-camera searches and matching 10,000 faces per second, it significantly enhances the efficiency of traditional manual matching processes and increases search efficiency and accuracy by 97% enabling automatic path tracking of personnel in the field. The system also generates investigation reports for evidential preservation.

Extreme rainfall events have increased the frequency of flooding, creating an urgent need for timely and reliable monitoring of urban drainage systems. The Smart Water Monitoring solution deploys water-level sensors and communication devices within stormwater drainage networks to ensure continuous data transmission. Through a centralized platform with real-time visual indicators, authorities can quickly identify abnormal conditions. This solution strengthens urban disaster resilience, reduces manual inspections, and improves overall operational efficiency.

During WirForce 2024, the largest LAN Party in Asia, the Omada business networking solution provided full network support for 1,400 BYOC players. Over four days, the network handled more than 6,000 wired devices and 800 wireless devices, with total data traffic exceeding 1,800TB, demonstrating exceptional performance and reliability. Through the Omada centralized cloud management platform, network administrators were able to monitor network status in real time, rapidly identify issues, and maintain high-speed, stable connectivity throughout the event. Key components included EAP773 Wi-Fi 7 access points, delivering BE11000 ultra-high-speed connections and seamless roaming, along with high-performance L2/L3 switches supporting 10G throughput and PoE power to ensure stable data transmission under extreme traffic loads. An OC300 hardware controller enabled real-time monitoring and flexible network management. Our residential air condition series apply “Smart maintenance system” which could inspect operation status/ collect data /diagnose issues and provide appropriated troubleshooting suggestions proactively and precisely. The system utilizes expert system not only solve issues but also initiate a tailor-made service plan in a shorter time with less manpower.

Located in Sanxing Township, Yilan County, the “Sloth Restaurant & Petting Farm,” covering approximately 1,000 ping, deployed the Omada business networking solution together with the VIGI intelligent surveillance system to achieve seamless Wi-Fi 7 coverage and centralized cloud management across the entire site. Through the Omada Central platform, administrators can monitor network status and surveillance footage in real time and remotely troubleshoot issues, significantly improving operational efficiency and maintenance management. VIGI cameras combine high-resolution imaging with AI-based detection technology to provide round-the-clock protection for both visitors and animals. This integrated solution delivers high stability, scalability, and ease of maintenance, establishing a new benchmark for smart touris.

This project integrates cable TV systems, Civil IoT, and AI video recognition technology to build smart disaster prevention and site safety services. Centered on set-top boxes (STB) and intelligent sensing, the solution focuses on bridging the gap in real-time information and safety protection for elderly and rural populations. Through its wired network infrastructure, the system developed under this project is capable of delivering real-time disaster prevention information, including earthquakes, typhoons, and heavy rainfall alerts. In addition, AI-based recognition capabilities have been integrated into the system. Currently, the system has completed event recognition functions such as parcel placement and retrieval detection. It also performs analysis of human movement trajectories and abnormal group behavior detection. In the future, the system will be further expanded to identify dangerous situations such as violent behavior. Through this project, Taiwan Optical Platform (TOP) demonstrates the potential of integrating cable television networks with AI and IoT technologies to develop a platform for smart disaster prevention and public safety applications.
