New Taipei City is the country’s largest first-level administrative district and holds around 100 roads and pipelines to effectively maintain various daily needs. With this comes an average of 10,000 construction cases per year that are audited to maintain the normal supply of various underground pipeline resources. This eventually led to negative impact such as traffic, decreased road quality and the waste of resources. To provide citizens with a higher quality road that can simultaneously co-exist with the construction process within limited human resources and budget, the “Smart Road Management Center” was created. The project focused on 5 goals: streamline administration process, mobile governance, smart management, develop value-added applications, and transparent governance. Through virtualization, cloudification, and intelligence, it can grasp road construction in real time, observe maintenance status, and support road rescue decision-making, all which can improve the overall road maintenance effectiveness.

Taiwan's first domestically developed 5G O-RAN system integrates with Oceanic & Meteorological Applications to collect environmental data related to oceans and geology. Through the analysis of this environmental data, the system anticipates the overall conditions of offshore wind power fields, facilitating operations in offshore wind power. This integration aids in minimizing the needs of offshore patrols and contributes to the establishment of data system for Taiwan's marine energy environment, serving as a foundation for sustainable environmental development.

FET has been investing in the development of IoT applications for a long time and assisting Taoyuan City to become the first city in Taiwan which adopts large-scale intelligent lighting system and LED street lamps. To reduce conflict traffic flow and improve road safety, intelligence technology equipments (e.g., vehicle detectors, Changeable Message Sign (CMS), Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), actuated signal control) were installed in 180-degree turning road on the District Road No. 107-1 in Wulai District, New Taipei City. If vehicle detectors are activated by a large vehicle, signal control system will have following processes: (1) activate signalized control to this road section; (2) give priority to this large vehicle by designating green light to its direction; and (3) assign red phase to another direction. This process can make sure large vehicle can go through the curvy road section smoothly, safely and efficiently.

Acer ITS self-develop smart parking meter system provides vehicle detection, license plate recognition, auto-ticketing, multi-payment functions to achieve the goal of payment automation for roadside parking. It also provides instant parking space information so that drivers can see the parking availability through mobile APPs to avoid circling in the city that causing traffic jam and higher carbon emissions. It collects parking information through auto-ticketing system, and feeds in big data platform to produce accurate turnover rate and usage rate. These data are the base of policy making for parking authorities. Applications with automation, intellectualization and mobilization provide drivers with nice parking experiences, and enhance parking management performance for parking authorities. Let smart parking become new smart city indicator for satisfied people and high performance government.

Based on the open, safe and expandable Niagara Internet of things platform, the elevator, air conditioning, lighting, fire control, power, water supply and drainage, weak electricity and other systems of the building are integrated through decentralized construction, so as to complete the interconnection between various systems. Take energy conservation, safety, comfort, convenience and health as the main axis to achieve the goal of smart building.

Smart Chiller control system integrated“Chiller”,“ECM Air Handling Unit”,“Direct Drive PM Cooling Tower”,“Variable Flow chilled Water Pump”and other equipment in satisfy operation and monitor power consumption in optimal power contract capacity. Different from traditional air conditioning system which would suspend operation upon occurrence of abnormality, TECO's system boasts active management "optimal energy conservation manage ment mode," capable of active alarming and adjustment, rather than response after occurrence of problem, thereby attaining the dual missions of "system energy conservation" and "automatic diagnosis."

In recent years, the number of motor vehicle noise cases has increased, and it has been a concern for people in Taiwan. In order to protect the living environment and eliminate improper vehicle modifications, the Ministry of Environment has used acoustic camera technology for law enforcement since 2021. The system contains several scientific instruments, including a license plate recognition function that helps authorities identify noisy vehicles. Technology also improves inspection efficiency and quality of noisy vehicles. Existing roadside inspections require onsite noise measurement. The stationary noise test takes at least 20 minutes for each vehicle. Law enforcement using acoustic camera technology can simultaneously record videos, take photos, identify vehicles and complete noise measurements, to increase efficiency by a factor of 200. It is no longer necessary to use a large amount of manpower to carry out checks and inspections, greatly reducing labor costs. The Acoustic Camera equipment equipment used in this exhibition is provided by OE Scientech Co., Ltd. They not only supply fixed or mobile sound-based photography equipment to Taipei City, Taichung City, Chiayi City, and Changhua County but also have extensive experience in assisting with technology enforcement operations.

IISI has a number of solutions for smart image processing, the main application areas are smart transportation, smart disaster prevention, security monitoring, etc. The main products include iTrafficView and iSurveillance. iTrafficView is a server-based image recognition detection system that receive real-time video streaming from on-site network cameras and instantly performs image recognition and event detection to provide monitoring services immediately. The “MiAIOT x 5G Railway Safety Management System was developed based on MiTAC’s in house AIoT platform-“MiAIoT”, and will assist the digital transformation of Taiwan's rail industry in the future, including cloud-based train operating data exchange, real-time train warning system, AI equipment abnormality prediction, and feeding all these crucial information to a situation “war room”.
