Real Name Registration System for Venues and Facilities
Solution Description
In compliance with the directives from Taiwan CDC, how to keep track of visitors in preparation for potential epidemic investigations while continuing the gradual reopening of city venues and facilities is an issue that needs to be addressed. The Department of Information Technology (DOIT) developed the myCode application to provide city-affiliated public venues and facilities with a tool to complete real name registration process in a quick and efficient manner – by scanning the barcode on ID cards. As a smartphone app, the program can be rapidly disseminated. Another added benefit is that respective venues do not have to invest in development or equipment to utilize the app. All data collected by the app are encrypted and stored by DOIT, providing the best protection to the personal information database.
