When an abnormality in the utility power occurs, the smart battery automatically takes over to keep the traffic lights operating normally. This enhances road and public safety while preventing sudden traffic disorder or additional carbon emissions caused by congestion. At the same time, battery and UPS data are sent back to the platform, allowing management units to detect abnormalities in real time and respond quickly—building truly stable and uninterrupted smart mobility for cities.

Delta’s EV charging solution utilizes the self-developed DeltaGrid® EVM, an electric vehicle charging management system for smart charging, power allocation, and charging equipment management. To avoid exceeding the site’s power limit during simultaneous charging, which could result in fines or power outages, the depot adopted a smart charging management system to effectively address power overuse and charging allocation issues. Under limited power conditions, the system efficiently allocates charging power for the electric buses and provides flexibility for future fleet expansion. To address the challenges of charging commercial fleets, the system has dedicated features that were developed for electric buses and commercial fleet charging needs, including Vehicle Identification, Site Current Limitation, Real-Time Alerts, etc, effectively enhances charging efficiency, optimizes operational benefits for electric fleets, and successfully demonstrates the transformation to the electrification of transportation.

Prof. Ming-Chung Chou’s Team – Intelligent X-ray Imaging System Traditional X-ray imaging depends on experienced radiographers to balance image quality and radiation dose. Automatic exposure control may misjudge patients with poor positioning or metallic implants, increasing radiation by about 20%. This study develops an AI-based X-ray imaging system with non-contact body thickness measurement. By integrating patient height and weight, the system automatically determines optimal exposure parameters, ensuring stable image quality while reducing unnecessary radiation and cancer risk.
