ITS traffic data collection has solved the laborious and time-consuming task of manually calculating traffic flow in the past. It aims to achieve the goals of smoother road conditions and reduced accidents through intelligent traffic diagnosis. By utilizing intelligent transportation systems, the system automatically tracks vehicles, identifies vehicle types, predicts trajectories, and transforms the data into useful information. This assists in real-time interpretation and improvement of traffic engineering. This system is particularly crucial in Taiwan, where over 60% of traffic accidents occur at intersections. Through big data analysis, identifying issues and formulating solutions is possible, thereby lowering accident risks. This approach proves more effective than simple advocacy and alerts.

Smart Multifunctional Periodontal Pathology Quick Screening System (SMPPQSS) is the first product able to automatically identify the position of teeth and then to calculate the distribution area of dental plaque simultaneously. The system also provides a new painless gingivitis examination method that could relief examining discomfort. Neither the need of the plaque disclosing tablet nor a probe to penetrate into the patient’s periodontal pocket to determine the degree of periodontitis. Once all tooth-related data is automatically filled into the periodontal digits, the medical record sheet is uploaded to the system directly. It shortens the process to less than 10 minutes, greatly reducing the discomfort of patients during the examination as well as shortening the time doctors need to diagnose and record. SMPPQSS is easy to operate and portable. Dentists or dental assistants can check periodontal health quickly with no restriction of facilities, patients can receive a more convenient medical care even in remote rural areas or at home, or with limited mobility.

In the past, human operation and judgment were required, but now technology assists people in handling water distribution work. Set up water level or flow sensing devices in important water supply channels and transmit the collected data to the information management platform. Using online information or mobile APPs, water stewards can instantly grasp the field water distribution to achieve the goals of saving manpower and accurately allocating water. Taking the research results of the Jianan Irrigation District as an example, water stewards management can save about 20 to 25% of water by allocating irrigation water. If it is combined with Smart irrigation system, it can save another 5% of water. Currently, Water Resources Department, MOEA continues to cooperate with National Science and Technology Council, Ministry of Agriculture to gradually expand to 3,000 hectares in the Jianan Irrigation District and 3,000 hectares in the Kaohsiung Irrigation District, and gradually promote Smart irrigation and water-saving management technology.

In recent years, the number of motor vehicle noise cases has increased, and it has been a concern for people in Taiwan. In order to protect the living environment and eliminate improper vehicle modifications, the Ministry of Environment has used acoustic camera technology for law enforcement since 2021. The system contains several scientific instruments, including a license plate recognition function that helps authorities identify noisy vehicles. Technology also improves inspection efficiency and quality of noisy vehicles. Existing roadside inspections require onsite noise measurement. The stationary noise test takes at least 20 minutes for each vehicle. Law enforcement using acoustic camera technology can simultaneously record videos, take photos, identify vehicles and complete noise measurements, to increase efficiency by a factor of 200. It is no longer necessary to use a large amount of manpower to carry out checks and inspections, greatly reducing labor costs. The Acoustic Camera equipment equipment used in this exhibition is provided by OE Scientech Co., Ltd. They not only supply fixed or mobile sound-based photography equipment to Taipei City, Taichung City, Chiayi City, and Changhua County but also have extensive experience in assisting with technology enforcement operations.

Civil IoT Taiwan is part of the government’s Forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program under the Digital Infrastructure category. With the collective effort of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC), the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), the Ministry of the Interior (MOI), the Ministry of Environment (MOENV), the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA) and the Academia Sinica, the project aims to address the core needs of the public by prioritizing four key mission areas, namely air quality, earthquake, water resources, and disaster prevention and response. The Smart Healthcare Station integrates several vital sign tests like height, weight, blood pressure, heartbeat, and temperature into one kiosk. Users can measure all the vital signs with iMVS, upload the vital signs data to the cloud, and even integrate the vital sign data cloud to the hospital information system or other platforms. The manager and the doctor can acquire users’ vital sign data through the solution, know the patient’s health status, and provide a better patient experience.

In Taiwan, religious activities create tens of billions of business opportunities every year, and up to 200,000 metric tons of joss paper are burned every year, generating 300,000 metric tons of carbon emissions, leaving a large amount of joss paper ashes. In the past, they were randomly discarded, causing environmental pollution. Now Jinjing solves the joss paper ashes problem, gives the ashes innovative value, and achieves a circular economy. This project takes “LIUQIU”, which has the highest density of temples in Taiwan, as the starting point. we work hand in hand with local temples to promote environmental protection and cultural inheritance. We aim to become promoters of religion, environmental protection, and local culture, and create cultural and creative products that integrate religion, beauty, and practicality.

With MediaTek’s IoT platform integrated, the wristband provides health condition information to be uploaded to synchronized with smartphones and the regional epidemic prevention system in real time so that patients’ vital signs can be monitored instantly and precisely. Collect the data on disease carriers and its environment, it can analyze patients’ medical and health information, and send the information to the patients and medical professionals. The public can also then receive the warning for diseases or epidemics.
