Under the theme “Economy Next,” the Ministry of Economic Affairs presents dual pavilions on AI and net zero, illustrating Taiwan’s vision for dual transformation. The Net Zero Pavilion showcases resilient green energy systems and low-carbon supply chains, while the Industries AI Pavilion highlights advanced technologies and smart applications that delivers concrete solutions across industries in hope of fostering collaboration opportunities with global partners.

Nearly one-third of the population in Yunlin County are first-tier industrial workers, mainly agricultural planting and fishery breeding. Through the inventory of various key program modules of scientific and technological agriculture and through service and product design, the six-tier digital system has been completed. It has been effectively improving the first-tier Industrial productivity and filling the gap in production instability, and receiving a solution for the lack of labor and the approval of the National Development Council Plan. This will also make Yunlin a place where cases of digital transformation and creation blooming. This service is introduced into multiple towns and villages in Yunlin County and 350 jobs have been created and about 320 million production value have been increased.The project won the 2022 “Smart City Innovation Application Awards".

Dr. Hung-Lung Lin’s Team – An Auxiliary Assessment System for Coronary Heart Disease Identification In response to population aging and the younger onset of coronary heart disease (CHD), this study develops an AI-based auxiliary CHD screening system integrated into a mobile app. Grounded in traditional Chinese medicine tongue–heart theory, the system analyzes sublingual vascular images using reflection removal, image segmentation, and a multi-head attention deep learning model. Users can obtain accurate, reproducible screening results and health recommendations within 7–20 seconds using only a smartphone, enabling convenient and cost-effective preliminary CHD assessment.

airaTrack is a comprehensive personnel tracking system that utilizes AI algorithms developed by our team to extract features from both the "face and figure." It generates unique biometric IDs with a recognition accuracy of up to 99%, all without the need for registering facial data, addressing privacy concerns. Capable of cross-camera searches and matching 10,000 faces per second, it significantly enhances the efficiency of traditional manual matching processes and increases search efficiency and accuracy by 97% enabling automatic path tracking of personnel in the field. The system also generates investigation reports for evidential preservation.

This project is deployed in a large-scale fish farming area in southern Taiwan, where ponds are widely distributed and geographically fragmented, creating challenges for long-distance network connectivity and real-time surveillance. The solution utilizes fiber optic links as the backbone to ensure stable long-range transmission across the site. EAP610-Outdoor wireless access points are deployed to extend network coverage through a mesh architecture, effectively reducing the need for repetitive cabling. For surveillance, the system integrates an NVR4032H with InSight S345 and InSight S345ZI bullet cameras, delivering stable and reliable video transmission. Combined with PoE switches, this solution establishes a flexible, efficient, and reliable network and intelligent surveillance infrastructure tailored for aquaculture management.

SOYAL Smart Parking Lighting System integrates RFID and infrared sensing to automatically pre‑light target spaces upon vehicle entry, while dynamic “lights follow the car, off when it passes” guidance ensures safety, efficiency, and energy savings for low‑carbon smart parking. The WEB PLC Air‑Conditioning Control System uses DI sensors to detect occupancy and temperature differences, adjusting indoor climate on demand to optimize building energy performance and support carbon‑reduction goals. The WEB PLC Office Lighting Control System combines card recognition with infrared sensing to maintain uninterrupted lighting when staff are present, then provides a five‑minute buffer before shutdown after work hours, with secondary detection to confirm departure. This precise energy management maximizes the value of every kilowatt. Together, these three systems highlight the advantages of smart building automation—delivering comfort, safety, and sustainability.

The Taichung Local Tax Bureau has launched the "Local Tax AI Anywhere Door," a 24/7 intelligent service platform powered by AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP). By integrating local, national, and cross-agency data, the system utilizes Deep Learning (BERT) and a specialized tax knowledge base to provide precise, multi-turn conversational consultations. The platform also features online applications, tax simulations, e-payments, and live text/video support, drastically reducing processing time and costs for citizens. To date, it has served over 440,000 cases with 99% accuracy and over 90% satisfaction, effectively lowering transportation-related carbon emissions and demonstrating the power of human-centric digital governance.

Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) is committed to corporate sustainability and net-zero transformation. By integrating telecommunications with digital technologies, FET helps industries and society reduce carbon emissions. In the public building sector, FET is developing integrated solutions for “Net-Zero and Disaster-Resilient Energy Storage.” Combining net-zero strategies with Energy Management Systems (EMS), FET deploys renewable energy, energy storage, and smart energy-saving mechanisms. This approach balances carbon reduction with power resilience, supporting the public sector in enhancing sustainability and disaster preparedness. A key achievement is the National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) Gymnasium project, where FET implemented an advanced energy management platform integrating power monitoring, smart HVAC control, and renewable energy with storage systems.
