Additionally, counseling teams assist farmer groups in transitioning towards a smart agriculture concept that combines 'smart technology' and the 'net-zero emission' approach. MSA redefines the standards for firefighting, rescue, and industrial safety through the Internet of Things (IoT). The Smart Firefighting system integrates MSA M1/G1 SCBA with advanced telemetry technology to provide real-time monitoring of critical data, including cylinder pressure, remaining service time, and personnel movement. By leveraging the FireGrid cloud platform, all data is seamlessly transmitted to the command center, transforming traditional incident scene management into real-time digital decision-making. This solution significantly enhances operational efficiency and maximizes the safety of first responders in hazardous environments.

To enhance facility management efficiency and visitor service quality in Nantou County’s scenic areas, the Nantou County Scenic Area Administration Office is implementing a Smart Management System. The system applies digital technologies to strengthen operations, safety management, and data-driven governance. It integrates maintenance and inspection records for key facilities such as trails and suspension bridges, establishing a centralized database. Through data analysis, authorities can monitor facility conditions, identify maintenance needs, and implement preventive maintenance strategies, reducing costs and improving operational stability. CCTV and smart sensors are gradually deployed in high-risk areas to enable real-time monitoring and anomaly alerts. During extreme events such as typhoons or earthquakes, managers can quickly assess infrastructure safety, improve emergency response efficiency, and reduce manual inspection workload. A QR Code-based smart reporting function allows visitors to instantly report facility issues. Reports are automatically recorded and assigned for follow-up, accelerating response time and enhancing visitor safety and service experience. Through smart management and data-driven decision-making, Nantou County is building a safer, more efficient, and sustainable scenic area management model, supporting smart tourism and long-term development.

This project is deployed in a large-scale fish farming area in southern Taiwan, where ponds are widely distributed and geographically fragmented, creating challenges for long-distance network connectivity and real-time surveillance. The solution utilizes fiber optic links as the backbone to ensure stable long-range transmission across the site. EAP610-Outdoor wireless access points are deployed to extend network coverage through a mesh architecture, effectively reducing the need for repetitive cabling. For surveillance, the system integrates an NVR4032H with InSight S345 and InSight S345ZI bullet cameras, delivering stable and reliable video transmission. Combined with PoE switches, this solution establishes a flexible, efficient, and reliable network and intelligent surveillance infrastructure tailored for aquaculture management.

The system developed by this project provides a smart solution for station including digital fence system, platform pedestrian flow analysis, animal tracking expelled system, track water situation analysis system and platform digital information signage. The platform comprehensively analyses the image of around the station, train coordinates, passenger entry and exit, and water depth etc. Which can be used for follow up review and improvement of abnormal events such as track intrusion, crowd congestion and road flooding to achieve optimal train operation configuration and class spacing control. And provide abnormal event warning and troubleshooting and passenger intelligence information services. After the integration of multiple subsystem through the IOC platform, the system will automatically alert an alarm to the traffic control center and announce the train near the area to remind the driver to pay attention to the situation and enhance the safety of the train and the people or cars in the area when the detection system alarms.

It has been effectively improving the first-tier Industrial productivity and filling the gap in production instability, and receiving a solution for the lack of labor and the approval of the National Development Council Plan. This will also make Yunlin a place where cases of digital transformation and creation blooming. This service is introduced into multiple towns and villages in Yunlin County and 350 jobs have been created and about 320 million production value have been increased.The project won the 2022 “Smart City Innovation Application Awards".

What’s more, high-resolution image, identification, analysis and AIoT applications are getting popular than before. People are strict in the performance of transmission and computing. Internet communication technology has entered a new era as well. To achieve intelligent service, zMEC ’s platform as service through Kubernetes-based architecture which can not only integrate with the third-party but also expand different AIoT software application modules, such as identification and analysis, electronic fence. Besides, the technology of edge computing can reduce the demand of video and audio data for cloud center computing access and network bandwidth resources, so as to make up for the problem of traditional cloud computing delay and unsafe transmission link.
