DeltaGrid® low-carbon emission energy solution focuses on the four major perspectives of energy creation, energy storage, energy control, and energy saving. Dr. Hung-Lung Lin’s Team – An Auxiliary Assessment System for Coronary Heart Disease Identification In response to population aging and the younger onset of coronary heart disease (CHD), this study develops an AI-based auxiliary CHD screening system integrated into a mobile app. Grounded in traditional Chinese medicine tongue–heart theory, the system analyzes sublingual vascular images using reflection removal, image segmentation, and a multi-head attention deep learning model. Users can obtain accurate, reproducible screening results and health recommendations within 7–20 seconds using only a smartphone, enabling convenient and cost-effective preliminary CHD assessment.

Prof. Chia-Hsin Chen’s Team – An Innovative AI-Powered Tongue Vibration Training System This project develops an AI-driven tongue vibration training system for dysphagia and obstructive sleep apnea. It combines a safe, adjustable tongue device, AI motion tracking with real-time biofeedback, EEG-based cognitive monitoring, and AR-based gamified training to deliver personalized, engaging, and data-driven rehabilitation.

Extreme rainfall events have increased the frequency of flooding, creating an urgent need for timely and reliable monitoring of urban drainage systems. The Smart Water Monitoring solution deploys water-level sensors and communication devices within stormwater drainage networks to ensure continuous data transmission. Through a centralized platform with real-time visual indicators, authorities can quickly identify abnormal conditions. This solution strengthens urban disaster resilience, reduces manual inspections, and improves overall operational efficiency.

Delta’s EV charging solution utilizes the self-developed DeltaGrid® EVM, an electric vehicle charging management system for smart charging, power allocation, and charging equipment management. To avoid exceeding the site’s power limit during simultaneous charging, which could result in fines or power outages, the depot adopted a smart charging management system to effectively address power overuse and charging allocation issues. Under limited power conditions, the system efficiently allocates charging power for the electric buses and provides flexibility for future fleet expansion. To address the challenges of charging commercial fleets, the system has dedicated features that were developed for electric buses and commercial fleet charging needs, including Vehicle Identification, Site Current Limitation, Real-Time Alerts, etc, effectively enhances charging efficiency, optimizes operational benefits for electric fleets, and successfully demonstrates the transformation to the electrification of transportation.

Far EasTone’s Traffic Signal UPS System ensures that intersections remain “lit and flowing” even during power outages. By integrating Far EasTone’s self-developed monitoring and management platform with smart batteries and signal controllers, the system can instantly track battery levels, utility power status, and device health. When an abnormality in the utility power occurs, the smart battery automatically takes over to keep the traffic lights operating normally. This enhances road and public safety while preventing sudden traffic disorder or additional carbon emissions caused by congestion. At the same time, battery and UPS data are sent back to the platform, allowing management units to detect abnormalities in real time and respond quickly—building truly stable and uninterrupted smart mobility for cities.

Smart parking EV charger combines smart parking and charge service to provide total solution for roadside and off street parking. Taichung City has deployed 1,220 air quality sensors, utilizing IoT and AI learning, along with a geographic information system to visually present real-time sensor monitoring data.By leveraging big data analysis, pollution hotspots and peak pollution periods are identified to assist environmental agencies in smart law enforcement. Additionally, cross-department collaboration is implemented for environmental governance, employing intelligent technology management for air quality control. The integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) further enhances pollutant sampling efficiency.

Prof. Ming-Chung Chou’s Team – Intelligent X-ray Imaging System Traditional X-ray imaging depends on experienced radiographers to balance image quality and radiation dose. Automatic exposure control may misjudge patients with poor positioning or metallic implants, increasing radiation by about 20%. This study develops an AI-based X-ray imaging system with non-contact body thickness measurement. By integrating patient height and weight, the system automatically determines optimal exposure parameters, ensuring stable image quality while reducing unnecessary radiation and cancer risk.
