Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) is committed to corporate sustainability and net-zero transformation. Looking ahead, FET will continue investing in net-zero buildings, energy storage, and resilient energy systems. Through collaboration with government, academia, and industry partners, FET aims to accelerate Taiwan’s progress toward sustainable development goals, advancing both net-zero emissions and disaster prevention.

The Track Safety Management System is primarily aimed at addressing safety concerns along the track. It provides real-time monitoring, statistics, and detection-triggered alerts for trackside environments including stations, level crossings, along the track, and slope areas. The goal of this management system is to establish early warning alerts and prevent accidents from causing damage. Through the intelligent AIOT recognition monitoring system, it detects and analyzes station pedestrian traffic, tracks pedestrians at level crossings, identifies passing vehicles and traffic flow, detects foreign objects at level crossings and activates alarms, monitors personnel lingering and debris along the track, conducts rockfall monitoring on slopes with a rain gauge, monitors the environmental conditions in equipment boxes, and oversees the operation status of level crossing equipment. The monitoring data and image information are transmitted to the management system platform for integrated management via fiber-optic networks, NBIOT, or mobile communication. Additionally, it provides central management personnel with real-time interpretation and remote control in case of anomalies.

The Intelligent Building Management System (iBMS) is a large-scale and flexible industrial control platform. By integrating Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Intelligent Video Surveillance (IVS), and Building Automation (BA) systems, iBMS enables Digital Twin technology to manage and operate building mechanical and electrical systems in a visualized manner. The five major systems it oversees include electrical systems, HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and low-voltage systems. This system meets the goals of ensuring health, comfort, and safety, while also achieving energy savings and intelligent automation. It generates unique biometric IDs with a recognition accuracy of up to 99%, all without the need for registering facial data, addressing privacy concerns. Capable of cross-camera searches and matching 10,000 faces per second, it significantly enhances the efficiency of traditional manual matching processes and increases search efficiency and accuracy by 97% enabling automatic path tracking of personnel in the field. The system also generates investigation reports for evidential preservation.

This project integrates cable TV systems, Civil IoT, and AI video recognition technology to build smart disaster prevention and site safety services. Centered on set-top boxes (STB) and intelligent sensing, the solution focuses on bridging the gap in real-time information and safety protection for elderly and rural populations. Through its wired network infrastructure, the system developed under this project is capable of delivering real-time disaster prevention information, including earthquakes, typhoons, and heavy rainfall alerts. In addition, AI-based recognition capabilities have been integrated into the system. Currently, the system has completed event recognition functions such as parcel placement and retrieval detection. It also performs analysis of human movement trajectories and abnormal group behavior detection. In the future, the system will be further expanded to identify dangerous situations such as violent behavior. Through this project, Taiwan Optical Platform (TOP) demonstrates the potential of integrating cable television networks with AI and IoT technologies to develop a platform for smart disaster prevention and public safety applications.

Taiwan SECOM “Smart City Safety Solution” including: 5G high-speed network transmission, road safety monitoring, real-time analysis of traffic flow and vehicle types, parking violation analysis, license plate recognition, traffic flow analysis, smart parking, air quality detection, personnel positioning and push Notification, e-paper information board and IoT integrated system platform. The platform's principal IOC monitoring and management, Open API interface, and know-how for dispatching services are integrated with multiple subsystems through the back-end management platform. When the system is abnormal, it can be quickly reflected and subsequent disposal. Significantly reduce personnel monitoring and management costs.
