A-MTK Expands Presence in TRA Stations 2025 Project Installation Scope: Zuoying, Neiwei, Museum of Fine Arts, Gushan, Sankuaicuo, Kaohsiung, Minzu, Science and Technology Museum, Zhengyi, and Fengshan Stations To enhance station security and management efficiency, ten TRA stations in Kaohsiung will be newly equipped with A-MTK IP cameras, expanding surveillance coverage and integrating with the access control system. The project achieves the following outcomes: Video Surveillance Deployment: Multi-point installation of A-MTK IP cameras inside and outside stations, providing real-time monitoring, event recording, and playback. Access Control + Video Integration: When an abnormal access event occurs (such as unauthorized card use or forced door opening), the system automatically pops up the corresponding camera feed and simultaneously sends an alarm notification to the management center. Centralized Monitoring Platform: The Kaohsiung control center can instantly oversee access control status and video feeds, achieving cross-station integrated management. Cybersecurity and Reliability: A-MTK is ISO 27001 certified; IP cameras are CE/FCC/BSMI certified. With system disconnection recovery, continuous operation is ensured without interruption.

CarbonClean Energy’s CO₂ electrolysis equipment E-Oak utilizes proprietary electrochemical conversion technology to directly transform carbon dioxide into high-value chemicals such as carbon monoxide, ethanol, and ethylene. This enables waste-gas reutilization while creating additional economic value. Unlike thermochemical carbon utilization processes that require high temperature, high pressure, and hydrogen input, E-Oak operates under ambient temperature and pressure. It only requires carbon dioxide and water to drive the conversion reaction, providing enhanced operational safety. Prof. Ming-Yen Lin’s Team – A Prediction Model for Type 2 Diabetes Complications Our research group develops a decision-support prediction model for type 2 diabetes complications using data from over 163,000 Taiwanese patients. Integrating age, HbA1c, and other dynamic factors, the model estimates long-term risks of major complications and mortality, visualizes future trends, and supports personalized care planning to improve disease management and outcomes.

In recent years, the number of motor vehicle noise cases has increased, and it has been a concern for people in Taiwan. In order to protect the living environment and eliminate improper vehicle modifications, the Ministry of Environment has used acoustic camera technology for law enforcement since 2021. The system contains several scientific instruments, including a license plate recognition function that helps authorities identify noisy vehicles. Technology also improves inspection efficiency and quality of noisy vehicles. Existing roadside inspections require onsite noise measurement. The stationary noise test takes at least 20 minutes for each vehicle. Law enforcement using acoustic camera technology can simultaneously record videos, take photos, identify vehicles and complete noise measurements, to increase efficiency by a factor of 200. It is no longer necessary to use a large amount of manpower to carry out checks and inspections, greatly reducing labor costs.
