Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) is committed to corporate sustainability and net-zero transformation. By integrating telecommunications with digital technologies, FET helps industries and society reduce carbon emissions. In the public building sector, FET is developing integrated solutions for “Net-Zero and Disaster-Resilient Energy Storage.” Combining net-zero strategies with Energy Management Systems (EMS), FET deploys renewable energy, energy storage, and smart energy-saving mechanisms. This approach balances carbon reduction with power resilience, supporting the public sector in enhancing sustainability and disaster preparedness. A key achievement is the National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU) Gymnasium project, where FET implemented an advanced energy management platform integrating power monitoring, smart HVAC control, and renewable energy with storage systems. These efforts improved energy efficiency, provided a model for transitioning public buildings to net-zero, and earned the client Level 1+ Green Building certification. Looking ahead, FET will continue investing in net-zero buildings, energy storage, and resilient energy systems. EdgeLink-X is an AI-driven heterogeneous edge-network platform built to provide resilient, low-latency connectivity for intelligent transportation and railway environments. The system forms a multi-layer architecture that unifies field communications, sensing, video capture, and edge analytics into a reliable and adaptive communication framework. At the field level, IP110H and IP503H Lite IP radios deliver instant voice communication and group coordination for frontline personnel. Sensors and cameras are connected through the AG260 AIoT Gateway, while the AS710 Wi-Fi 7 indoor access point provides high-quality Wi-Fi coverage in stations, platforms, and passenger areas to enhance traveler connectivity. Long-range, time-synchronized backhaul is supported by the SP250 Series, ensuring stable, high-throughput wireless links across trackside and outdoor environments. At the core, the zMEC edge-computing platform performs real-time AI video analytics, abnormal-event detection, and rapid data distribution to minimize latency and support mission-critical responses. By integrating Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, PTP wireless backhaul, and AIoT devices into a single cohesive system, EdgeLink-X enables applications such as slope monitoring, intersection intrusion detection, pantograph spark/wear monitoring, and onboard operational visibility—forming a robust foundation for next-generation safe and intelligent mobility.

The technical solution of Foxtron Electric Bus combines domestic and international resources, each contributing its strengths： 1. It adopts Foxtron's self-developed VCU software, integrates and develops the EEA architecture for electric buses, and utilizes motors, batteries, and chassis suspension systems from international major manufacturers. In collaboration with domestic manufacturers, Foxtron designs and develops dedicated low-floor bus frames for chassis cooperation. 2. In the product design of electric buses, Foxtron identifies pain points in traditional buses and improves upon them. For example, traditional buses often have issues with rollover protection and numerous blind spots, as well as differential wheel rotation caused by wheelbase, leading to frequent traffic accidents due to visibility problems. To address these issues, Foxtron employs Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) analysis to verify the design of various systems and components. This ensures the overall strength of the vehicle body and chassis, enhances passenger safety, and incorporates features such as panoramic image display and an electronic wide-angle rearview mirror with a blind spot detection system to solve driver blind spot issues. Additionally, to alert pedestrians and other road users to the risk of differential wheel rotation, Model T projects prominent light beams onto the ground during turns, marking the danger zone.

The iMADC-STD is an automated dispensing cabinet that provides a safe and accurate medication management solution in the pharmacy. It dispenses medication, controls inventory, manages user access, reduces time, and improves efficiency for the facility. ADC optimizes the dispensing process, reduces human error and workload for pharmacists and nurses, and truly improves drug management. Prof. Chia-Hsin Chen’s Team – An Innovative AI-Powered Tongue Vibration Training System This project develops an AI-driven tongue vibration training system for dysphagia and obstructive sleep apnea. It combines a safe, adjustable tongue device, AI motion tracking with real-time biofeedback, EEG-based cognitive monitoring, and AR-based gamified training to deliver personalized, engaging, and data-driven rehabilitation.

This solution, named "Mission Critical Network," is designed to provide enterprises, rescue teams, defense and security organizations, and more with intelligent applications utilizing 5G private networks, mobile satellite communication, drones, and other technologies. It addresses challenges such as remote inspections, equipment patrols, major disaster relief, and national security needs. With its rapid and efficient deployment capabilities and high mobility, the solution is capable of offering a stable, high-speed, and secure private network in situations where communication stability is severely compromised due to difficulties in reaching locations, numerous devices, extreme disasters, or tense regional conditions. This ensures the secure and reliable transmission of critical information.

Chunghwa Telecom 5G Private Network solutions delivers ultra-reliable, low-latency, and secure wireless connectivity tailored for enterprise digital transformation. This project integrates cable TV systems, Civil IoT, and AI video recognition technology to build smart disaster prevention and site safety services. Centered on set-top boxes (STB) and intelligent sensing, the solution focuses on bridging the gap in real-time information and safety protection for elderly and rural populations. Through its wired network infrastructure, the system developed under this project is capable of delivering real-time disaster prevention information, including earthquakes, typhoons, and heavy rainfall alerts. In addition, AI-based recognition capabilities have been integrated into the system. Currently, the system has completed event recognition functions such as parcel placement and retrieval detection. It also performs analysis of human movement trajectories and abnormal group behavior detection. In the future, the system will be further expanded to identify dangerous situations such as violent behavior. Through this project, Taiwan Optical Platform (TOP) demonstrates the potential of integrating cable television networks with AI and IoT technologies to develop a platform for smart disaster prevention and public safety applications.

FET has long been investing in IoT application development and assisting Taoyuan City in becoming the first city in Taiwan to adopt a large-scale intelligent lighting system and LED street lamps. FET has also integrated 5G and AI technologies to launch the “5G Smart Pole” solution, offering a variety of smart application services and accelerating Smart City transformation.
