The platform's principal IOC monitoring and management, Open API interface, and know-how for dispatching services are integrated with multiple subsystems through the back-end management platform. In alignment with global sustainable tourism trends and Taiwan’s “2050 Net-Zero Emissions Pathway,” Nantou County launched the Nantou Sustainable Tourism Campaign (NSTC) in 2024 in partnership with National Chi Nan University. Through systematic carbon footprint assessments, Nantou has developed nine net-zero itineraries and twenty-three low-carbon routes, covering one- to three-day immersive experiences. These itineraries adopt the internationally recognized Gold Standard carbon offset mechanism to ensure measurable emission reduction. By integrating data-driven governance with green practices, NSTC positions Nantou as a leading model for sustainable tourism transformation and low-carbon regional development.

By utilizing intelligent transportation systems, the system automatically tracks vehicles, identifies vehicle types, predicts trajectories, and transforms the data into useful information. This assists in real-time interpretation and improvement of traffic engineering. This system is particularly crucial in Taiwan, where over 60% of traffic accidents occur at intersections. Through big data analysis, identifying issues and formulating solutions is possible, thereby lowering accident risks. This approach proves more effective than simple advocacy and alerts.

Building a Intelligent Transportation Network The traffic system is the artery of an urban development. To improve traffic quality and build a intelligent transportation network, Taiwan SECOM is working with local governments to promote smart street lights. The brightness of these lights can be adjusted according to the surrounding environment, which not only conserves energy but also reduce traffic accidents caused by insufficient lighting. A traffic flow detection system can immediately analyze the traffic flow of each main path and the substitute routes can be immediately displayed on the display to effectively divert traffic flow. The system developed by this project provides a smart solution for station including digital fence system, platform pedestrian flow analysis, animal tracking expelled system, track water situation analysis system and platform digital information signage. The platform comprehensively analyses the image of around the station, train coordinates, passenger entry and exit, and water depth etc. Which can be used for follow up review and improvement of abnormal events such as track intrusion, crowd congestion and road flooding to achieve optimal train operation configuration and class spacing control. And provide abnormal event warning and troubleshooting and passenger intelligence information services. After the integration of multiple subsystem through the IOC platform, the system will automatically alert an alarm to the traffic control center and announce the train near the area to remind the driver to pay attention to the situation and enhance the safety of the train and the people or cars in the area when the detection system alarms.

The Intelligent Building Management System (iBMS) is a large-scale and flexible industrial control platform. By integrating Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Intelligent Video Surveillance (IVS), and Building Automation (BA) systems, iBMS enables Digital Twin technology to manage and operate building mechanical and electrical systems in a visualized manner. Prof. Ming-Chung Chou’s Team – Intelligent X-ray Imaging System Traditional X-ray imaging depends on experienced radiographers to balance image quality and radiation dose. Automatic exposure control may misjudge patients with poor positioning or metallic implants, increasing radiation by about 20%. This study develops an AI-based X-ray imaging system with non-contact body thickness measurement. By integrating patient height and weight, the system automatically determines optimal exposure parameters, ensuring stable image quality while reducing unnecessary radiation and cancer risk.
