Prof. Ming-Yen Lin’s Team – A Prediction Model for Type 2 Diabetes Complications Our research group develops a decision-support prediction model for type 2 diabetes complications using data from over 163,000 Taiwanese patients. Integrating age, HbA1c, and other dynamic factors, the model estimates long-term risks of major complications and mortality, visualizes future trends, and supports personalized care planning to improve disease management and outcomes.

Dr. Hung-Lung Lin’s Team – An Auxiliary Assessment System for Coronary Heart Disease Identification In response to population aging and the younger onset of coronary heart disease (CHD), this study develops an AI-based auxiliary CHD screening system integrated into a mobile app. Grounded in traditional Chinese medicine tongue–heart theory, the system analyzes sublingual vascular images using reflection removal, image segmentation, and a multi-head attention deep learning model. Users can obtain accurate, reproducible screening results and health recommendations within 7–20 seconds using only a smartphone, enabling convenient and cost-effective preliminary CHD assessment.

Prof. Ming-Chung Chou’s Team – Intelligent X-ray Imaging System Traditional X-ray imaging depends on experienced radiographers to balance image quality and radiation dose. Automatic exposure control may misjudge patients with poor positioning or metallic implants, increasing radiation by about 20%. This study develops an AI-based X-ray imaging system with non-contact body thickness measurement. By integrating patient height and weight, the system automatically determines optimal exposure parameters, ensuring stable image quality while reducing unnecessary radiation and cancer risk.

Across urban and industrial environments, public facilities, critical assets, and infrastructure systems are often highly complex and geographically dispersed. Even minor abnormalities, if not identified and addressed in time, can lead to safety risks and operational disruptions. The Smart Mobile Inspection System is designed to address these challenges, enabling governments and enterprises to establish forward-looking digital inspection and maintenance management capabilities. The system integrates mobile devices, sensor data, and visual information, leveraging real-time AI analysis and anomaly detection to transform potential risks into predictable, traceable, and actionable management tasks. From anomaly alerts and intelligent task assignment to on-site reporting and final verification, the platform seamlessly connects every stage of the inspection workflow, delivering a fully digital, end-to-end inspection and maintenance management solution.

Prof. Chia-Hsin Chen’s Team – An Innovative AI-Powered Tongue Vibration Training System This project develops an AI-driven tongue vibration training system for dysphagia and obstructive sleep apnea. It combines a safe, adjustable tongue device, AI motion tracking with real-time biofeedback, EEG-based cognitive monitoring, and AR-based gamified training to deliver personalized, engaging, and data-driven rehabilitation.

What’s more, high-resolution image, identification, analysis and AIoT applications are getting popular than before. People are strict in the performance of transmission and computing. Internet communication technology has entered a new era as well. To achieve intelligent service, zMEC ’s platform as service through Kubernetes-based architecture which can not only integrate with the third-party but also expand different AIoT software application modules, such as identification and analysis, electronic fence. Delta’s EV charging solution utilizes the self-developed DeltaGrid® EVM, an electric vehicle charging management system for smart charging, power allocation, and charging equipment management. To avoid exceeding the site’s power limit during simultaneous charging, which could result in fines or power outages, the depot adopted a smart charging management system to effectively address power overuse and charging allocation issues. Under limited power conditions, the system efficiently allocates charging power for the electric buses and provides flexibility for future fleet expansion. To address the challenges of charging commercial fleets, the system has dedicated features that were developed for electric buses and commercial fleet charging needs, including Vehicle Identification, Site Current Limitation, Real-Time Alerts, etc, effectively enhances charging efficiency, optimizes operational benefits for electric fleets, and successfully demonstrates the transformation to the electrification of transportation.

MiTAC's RFID Smart Manufacturing Solution has been applied in various industry, such as IPC, LED, Semiconductor, and textile industry. MiTAC has provided complete RFID application solutions these years from the inventory to production management system. We sees RFID as a game changer.
