In the past, human operation and judgment were required, but now technology assists people in handling water distribution work. Set up water level or flow sensing devices in important water supply channels and transmit the collected data to the information management platform. Using online information or mobile APPs, water stewards can instantly grasp the field water distribution to achieve the goals of saving manpower and accurately allocating water. Taking the research results of the Jianan Irrigation District as an example, water stewards management can save about 20 to 25% of water by allocating irrigation water. If it is combined with Smart irrigation system, it can save another 5% of water. Currently, Water Resources Department, MOEA continues to cooperate with National Science and Technology Council, Ministry of Agriculture to gradually expand to 3,000 hectares in the Jianan Irrigation District and 3,000 hectares in the Kaohsiung Irrigation District, and gradually promote Smart irrigation and water-saving management technology.

Agriculture is the main industry in Yunlin County. Nearly 1/3 of the population are workers in the primary industry. In addition, more than 60% of the population in the related industry chain is engaged in agriculture-related businesses. Therefore, the Yunlin County Government promotes the agricultural creation service guidance team, discovers local DNA, combines traditional agriculture to carry out digital transformation of farms, effectively improves agricultural productivity, bridges the gap between labor shortage and unstable production, assists the agricultural industry in line with international carbon reduction trends and create low-carbon sustainable urban and rural happiness.The project won the 2023 Smart City Innovation Application Awards.

In the past, they were randomly discarded, causing environmental pollution. Now Jinjing solves the joss paper ashes problem, gives the ashes innovative value, and achieves a circular economy. This project takes “LIUQIU”, which has the highest density of temples in Taiwan, as the starting point. we work hand in hand with local temples to promote environmental protection and cultural inheritance. We aim to become promoters of religion, environmental protection, and local culture, and create cultural and creative products that integrate religion, beauty, and practicality.

Weigh in Motion is becoming widely adopted by many cities around the world to manage the access of heavy goods vehicles. Highway authorities are also using WiM as a tool to charge tolls by vehicles' weights and further prevent overweight vehicles to enter certain road sections. FETC International adopts pre-selection model and three gantry structure and deploys WiM sensors and equipment to collect vehicle data and then transmit data to computerized platform for weight management and send alerts to enforcement if a vehicle doesn't comply weight limits. ​

With our fiber sDAS, Wave-In effectively reduce mobile signal dead spots caused by insufficient base station coverage, buildings or electromagnetic signal interference. Our team has built predictive models based on whole transcriptome data from patients with advanced metastatic prostate cancer, focusing on two different mechanisms of action: androgen receptor antagonists and androgen synthesis inhibitors. These two types of drugs essentially offer only one chance of selection, as resistance to one renders the other ineffective. Using weighted gene correlation network analysis, we identified several gene modules correlated to specific drug responses. Then, we combined several machine-learning algorithms and constructed classification models for different drug mechanisms. Our goal is to use detection services to determine the most effective drug for patients before administration.

MIRDC’s continuously Rotating Wind Turbine UAV Inspection System can effectively inspect the working wind turbine without interference. It takes 5 minutes to complete the inspection of a single blade to effectively detect 4mm small cracks. The system will not lose power generation by turning off the wind turbine, further observes the actual movement status of running blade structure and pillars to grasp the defects beforehand.
