Through the Omada Central platform, administrators can monitor network status and surveillance footage in real time and remotely troubleshoot issues, significantly improving operational efficiency and maintenance management. VIGI cameras combine high-resolution imaging with AI-based detection technology to provide round-the-clock protection for both visitors and animals. Agriculture is the main industry in Yunlin County. Nearly 1/3 of the population are workers in the primary industry. In addition, more than 60% of the population in the related industry chain is engaged in agriculture-related businesses. However, due to the outflow of young people from rural areas, an aging society, and global climate anomalies have made it difficult for agriculture to maintain stable yield and quality, and the international community has responded to the issue of carbon reduction. How to balance food security and environmental sustainability has become a major issue in the current agricultural transformation. Therefore, the Yunlin County Government promotes the agricultural creation service guidance team, discovers local DNA, combines traditional agriculture to carry out digital transformation of farms, effectively improves agricultural productivity, bridges the gap between labor shortage and unstable production, assists the agricultural industry in line with international carbon reduction trends and create low-carbon sustainable urban and rural happiness.The project won the 2023 Smart City Innovation Application Awards.

Remote expert video collaboration solution uses AR smart glasses to transmit onsite situation to the remote technical experts with high-definition real-time video, and guide the on-site engineer to troubleshoot and repair the fault from the first-person view perspective and free their hands. This is not only improves maintenance efficiency, but also ensures safety. It also achieve the sharing and inheritance of expert resources and high cost of traveling on site. MiTAC’s Smart ticketing solution for tourism was implemented at “Hạ Long Bay” in Vietnam. Passengers can use self-service devices, such as the Ticket Vending Machines, kiosks and POS to purchase tickets, place orders, arrange trips and inquire for additional information. The operators can also utilize automated devices and information system to reduce human resources investment, strengthen operational efficiency, and improve service quality. In addition, the operators can utilize the data collected for big data analysis for precision marketing in the future.

Prof. Chia-Hsin Chen’s Team – An Innovative AI-Powered Tongue Vibration Training System This project develops an AI-driven tongue vibration training system for dysphagia and obstructive sleep apnea. It combines a safe, adjustable tongue device, AI motion tracking with real-time biofeedback, EEG-based cognitive monitoring, and AR-based gamified training to deliver personalized, engaging, and data-driven rehabilitation.

Dr. Hung-Lung Lin’s Team – An Auxiliary Assessment System for Coronary Heart Disease Identification In response to population aging and the younger onset of coronary heart disease (CHD), this study develops an AI-based auxiliary CHD screening system integrated into a mobile app. Grounded in traditional Chinese medicine tongue–heart theory, the system analyzes sublingual vascular images using reflection removal, image segmentation, and a multi-head attention deep learning model. Users can obtain accurate, reproducible screening results and health recommendations within 7–20 seconds using only a smartphone, enabling convenient and cost-effective preliminary CHD assessment.
