The framework of Taipei Smart City takes “smart government” as the core value, and promotes “smart security”, “smart building”, “smart transportation”, “smart education”, “smart healthcare”, “smart environment”, and “smart economy” to be the blueprint for the future development. In order to achieve it, “1+7 smart city steering groups” were established. The smart healthcare steering group is composed of the Department of Health as the chair, the Department of Social Welfare, the Department of Information Technology, and outside experts. The smart healthcare group is aimed to provide better healthcare quality and caring environment through smart technologies for citizens in Taipei.

1.Fingerprint imprinting and positioning system: By providing active (positioning system) and passive prevention lost tools (fingerprint imprinting), the safety of people with dementia can be guaranteed, which helps to continuously participate in social activities, delay degradation, and ensure that people with dementia live safely in the community. Diversified prevention lost tools allow people with dementia to rely on this multiple protection system even if they get lost, helping them to be found as soon as possible.
2.Video and various physiological monitoring systems: Using video telemedicine technology to provide care for people with dementia and their families, and link a variety of physiological monitoring systems to make care more immediate and relieved.2.
