Under the theme “Economy Next,” the Ministry of Economic Affairs presents dual pavilions on AI and net zero, illustrating Taiwan’s vision for dual transformation. The Net Zero Pavilion showcases resilient green energy systems and low-carbon supply chains, while the Industries AI Pavilion highlights advanced technologies and smart applications that delivers concrete solutions across industries in hope of fostering collaboration opportunities with global partners.

Far EasTone’s Traffic Signal UPS System ensures that intersections remain “lit and flowing” even during power outages. By integrating Far EasTone’s self-developed monitoring and management platform with smart batteries and signal controllers, the system can instantly track battery levels, utility power status, and device health. When an abnormality in the utility power occurs, the smart battery automatically takes over to keep the traffic lights operating normally. This enhances road and public safety while preventing sudden traffic disorder or additional carbon emissions caused by congestion. At the same time, battery and UPS data are sent back to the platform, allowing management units to detect abnormalities in real time and respond quickly—building truly stable and uninterrupted smart mobility for cities.

This project integrates cable TV systems, Civil IoT, and AI video recognition technology to build smart disaster prevention and site safety services. Centered on set-top boxes (STB) and intelligent sensing, the solution focuses on bridging the gap in real-time information and safety protection for elderly and rural populations. Through its wired network infrastructure, the system developed under this project is capable of delivering real-time disaster prevention information, including earthquakes, typhoons, and heavy rainfall alerts. In addition, AI-based recognition capabilities have been integrated into the system. Currently, the system has completed event recognition functions such as parcel placement and retrieval detection. It also performs analysis of human movement trajectories and abnormal group behavior detection. In the future, the system will be further expanded to identify dangerous situations such as violent behavior. Through this project, Taiwan Optical Platform (TOP) demonstrates the potential of integrating cable television networks with AI and IoT technologies to develop a platform for smart disaster prevention and public safety applications.

SOYAL Smart Parking Lighting System integrates RFID and infrared sensing to automatically pre‑light target spaces upon vehicle entry, while dynamic “lights follow the car, off when it passes” guidance ensures safety, efficiency, and energy savings for low‑carbon smart parking. The WEB PLC Air‑Conditioning Control System uses DI sensors to detect occupancy and temperature differences, adjusting indoor climate on demand to optimize building energy performance and support carbon‑reduction goals. The WEB PLC Office Lighting Control System combines card recognition with infrared sensing to maintain uninterrupted lighting when staff are present, then provides a five‑minute buffer before shutdown after work hours, with secondary detection to confirm departure. This precise energy management maximizes the value of every kilowatt. Together, these three systems highlight the advantages of smart building automation—delivering comfort, safety, and sustainability.

SONOBA COMET is a paperless conference system using tablet computers. Simple, no complicated operation or preparation required. Convenient, one-person operation, all participants can be expressed simultaneously. Information security, delete the information after the meeting. SONOBA COMET” is a product that has been positively received and implemented by a wide range of customers in different industries and business categories, such as banks and brokerages, IT companies and music-related companies, and public institutions like universities and hospitals. As a communication tool, it is performing well not only in meetings but also in various other scenes such as presentations for operating activities, training and seminars, and telemedicine.

In recent years, the number of motor vehicle noise cases has increased, and it has been a concern for people in Taiwan. In order to protect the living environment and eliminate improper vehicle modifications, the Ministry of Environment has used acoustic camera technology for law enforcement since 2021. The system contains several scientific instruments, including a license plate recognition function that helps authorities identify noisy vehicles. Technology also improves inspection efficiency and quality of noisy vehicles. Existing roadside inspections require onsite noise measurement. The stationary noise test takes at least 20 minutes for each vehicle. Law enforcement using acoustic camera technology can simultaneously record videos, take photos, identify vehicles and complete noise measurements, to increase efficiency by a factor of 200. It is no longer necessary to use a large amount of manpower to carry out checks and inspections, greatly reducing labor costs. The Acoustic Camera equipment equipment used in this exhibition is provided by OE Scientech Co., Ltd. They not only supply fixed or mobile sound-based photography equipment to Taipei City, Taichung City, Chiayi City, and Changhua County but also have extensive experience in assisting with technology enforcement operations.

Within the footprint of a single merchant, it simultaneously fulfills two essential everyday needs: “Green Sustainability” and “Power Sharing.”

Intelligent Positioning System can remotely track the paths, remotely set the access authority, and provide the access alarm and SOS alarm based on configured location Bluetooth sensors. There are three applications: [Guardian Wristband] Authority can know whether home quarantine people are at home. Through the beacon wristband connects with receiver. If home quarantine people are leaving home, the system will send notification to the authority.
