This project integrates cable TV systems, Civil IoT, and AI video recognition technology to build smart disaster prevention and site safety services. Centered on set-top boxes (STB) and intelligent sensing, the solution focuses on bridging the gap in real-time information and safety protection for elderly and rural populations. Through its wired network infrastructure, the system developed under this project is capable of delivering real-time disaster prevention information, including earthquakes, typhoons, and heavy rainfall alerts. In addition, AI-based recognition capabilities have been integrated into the system. Currently, the system has completed event recognition functions such as parcel placement and retrieval detection. It also performs analysis of human movement trajectories and abnormal group behavior detection. In the future, the system will be further expanded to identify dangerous situations such as violent behavior. Through this project, Taiwan Optical Platform (TOP) demonstrates the potential of integrating cable television networks with AI and IoT technologies to develop a platform for smart disaster prevention and public safety applications.

In order to achieve the goal of intelligent transportation in Hualien and alleviate the crowds and traffic problems brought about by the opening of the entire Suhuakai line and the traffic problems in the city center, the Hualien County Government has developed a design that conforms to the local characteristics and constructs intersection numbers through the "Development and Construction Design of Intelligent Transportation System". Likewise, peak shaving and valley filling can reduce the maximum load demand and reduce the contract capacity with saving electricity bills. In emergency micro-grid could supply certain amount of electricity through energy storage system as well.

Simultaneously, it promotes Intelligence Augmentation (IA), fostering the growth of industry personnel capabilities. To accelerate agricultural transformation, solutions are developed with experts in various fields of agriculture and livestock. Through sharing successful case studies, the aim is to guide industry stakeholders to embrace new knowledge and technologies. Additionally, counseling teams assist farmer groups in transitioning towards a smart agriculture concept that combines 'smart technology' and the 'net-zero emission' approach. The development focuses on creating a future agriculture model primarily based on automation and AI, striving for efficiency, quality, and Intelligent Automation (IA).The project won the 2024 Smart City Innovation Application Awards.

Installation of TECO's proprietary inverter for cooling tower can reduce operating noise, buffer activation, and lower mechanical impact. 4. A 30 kW motor in constant-frequency operation can reduce total operating costs by up to 18% over a five-year period.

Traffic approach warning system is the combination of smart detectors and LED warning signs. The intersection is divided into detection lanes and warning lanes. Smart detectors are installed on the detection lanes. When a vehicle enters the detection area, the signal is transmitted to activate the LED signs on the warning lane to warn drivers to slow down in advance.
