Prof. Ming-Chung Chou’s Team – Intelligent X-ray Imaging System Traditional X-ray imaging depends on experienced radiographers to balance image quality and radiation dose. Automatic exposure control may misjudge patients with poor positioning or metallic implants, increasing radiation by about 20%. This study develops an AI-based X-ray imaging system with non-contact body thickness measurement. By integrating patient height and weight, the system automatically determines optimal exposure parameters, ensuring stable image quality while reducing unnecessary radiation and cancer risk.

Remote expert video collaboration solution uses AR smart glasses to transmit onsite situation to the remote technical experts with high-definition real-time video, and guide the on-site engineer to troubleshoot and repair the fault from the first-person view perspective and free their hands. This is not only improves maintenance efficiency, but also ensures safety. It also achieve the sharing and inheritance of expert resources and high cost of traveling on site. When encountering difficult situations, multiple technical experts can also be invited for consultation. To establish a civil participation mechanism to widely gather opinions from all sectors, the National Development Council has established the "Just Transition Commission."
