The Ministry of Environment has promoted the deployment and application of the Internet of Things for empty product sensing since 2017, and has deployed approximately 10,000 sensors to make up for the deficiencies in time and spatial resolution of standard monitoring stations. Among them, in 2022, it expanded from the Taiwan island to Lienchiang County on the outlying Island. Its unique geographical location is more conducive to early warning of transboundary pollutants and reminds people to take precautions in advance.

For road safety, traffic efficiency, and energy savings, we adopt V2X and 5G C-V2X advanced technology to develop smart transportation including iDVR fleet management, driving assistant, AI sensors, RSU, OBU, etc., optimizing the driving and traffic operation.

Focusing on developing and enhancing green competitiveness, we aim to provide three key ESG digital transformation solutions for traditional manufacturing industries: a carbon inventory system, machine predictive maintenance, and electrical safety monitoring. By integrating Taiwan's 5G networking industry, IoT-related sectors, and information technology companies, we are collaboratively developing a 5G smart manufacturing AI-enhanced energy efficiency platform. The "Dosage Evaluation Method" applies AI technology to assess dosages for high-risk medications, using Vancomycin as an example. This method addresses limitations in clinical practice, where dosages are typically determined by physician experience or population pharmacokinetic parameters, which may not account for individual patient variability. Although several AI-based prediction models for dosage evaluation currently exist, most of these models directly suggest dosages, often without fully considering physician expertise. The innovation of this method lies in its approach to validating only the physician-selected dosage, providing reference feedback without influencing the physician’s final decision. This design not only respects the physician’s professional judgment but also enhances the safety of medication administration.

Smart Multifunctional Periodontal Pathology Quick Screening System (SMPPQSS) is the first product able to automatically identify the position of teeth and then to calculate the distribution area of dental plaque simultaneously. The system also provides a new painless gingivitis examination method that could relief examining discomfort. Neither the need of the plaque disclosing tablet nor a probe to penetrate into the patient’s periodontal pocket to determine the degree of periodontitis. Once all tooth-related data is automatically filled into the periodontal digits, the medical record sheet is uploaded to the system directly. It shortens the process to less than 10 minutes, greatly reducing the discomfort of patients during the examination as well as shortening the time doctors need to diagnose and record. SMPPQSS is easy to operate and portable.
